Was wanting to use this in my landscape class but can't add it to a play list?....Why would this not need to be shared today more than ever?

Some background on Seneca Village, the Black and Immigrant COMMUNITY that was destroyed to create Central Park. In the video the narrator called them "squatters" between 12:44-13:05. here is the link: timeline.com/black-village-destroyed-central-park-6356723113fa

fair but not to olmstead's design. he was GIVEN the canvas, and did an immense job with what he was given. Don't blame him for the racist shortcomings of 19th century NYC planning

It is insulting to say on the site of the park there were squatter. It was an organized black community.

If they’re living there illegally, they’re squatters.

Conditions on the merchant ship were grisly and Olmstead became sick? Imagine how the African slaves felt being shackled in the hold of a ship bound to the new world and elsewhere and being treated inhumanely? I can only image being chained for two months in the hold of ship only to be sold as a slave for the remainder of your life being subjected to abuse both physically and psychologically?

Olmsted and The rest did Not make all these gardens. They were they same all over The World as the ARCH-I-TECHure. Old World. They dynamited San Francisco, Dresden and demolished most of it worldwide. HIS-STORY is not Our-Story.
