The Old Bailey School house at Sturgeon Point Lighthouse.
This is the old bailey school house located on the grounds of the sturgeon point lighthouse north of Harrisville, Michigan. It was moved there as its final place and the history of the school house is explained by our in-house curator. This is an aspect of our site “finding colorful rocks“ that we really enjoy presenting. We often find peripheral points of interest in our hunt for rocks and minerals, and this is a great example of one of those nice Michigan attractions! Here we found Unakite, epidote, agate, quartz, feldspar, granite, Petoskey stones, and more.

Thank you excellent we are going back to get more rocks and will check it out better next time.
I was at Sturgeon Point just a few weeks ago. Such a cool place. The history of the school is fascinating. I wish it had been opened on the day we were there. Thanks for videoing it.
