Oilers fans have one option, cheer till we win or lose period. The hit by nurse was NOT a dirty hit, maybe you don't understand the rules but that was a trip period. Regardless if the Oilers win or lose the series, Oilers stuffed all the critics who thought they didn't belong in the SCF.

McDavid passed Gretzky's playoff assist record by the way. No biggie.

Same thing happened with Barkov. The hit was dirty but I don't think it caused that serious of an injury because Barkov was back the next game with nothing to report about a concussion!

Yeah took less than 1 minute to see the tilt of this video. Dudes don't crawl for 20 feet and then stand up and skate to the bench if they're actually hurt. Buddy was back on the ice quicker than you could shake a stick. I like the idea of the panther special. It'd be interesting if someone could go back and see how many times a player was down on the ice, clutching their face, crawling, laying prone vs. how many minutes those player ended actually being gone down the tunnel. Also just do a quick google on the alternate angle from the Foegle hit from game one. A fan had a waaaaaaay better camera angle and the hit was hip on hip. Super blown call.

Nurses hit wasn't dirty. He went for a hit, didn't change his direction and didn't stick his knee out while Bennett tried to avoid the hit.

Florida seemed to ease up on aggression after bob was pulled, and you can see a difference in their defense as well, normally they would try going for the puck, but they seemed less willing this game.

It was not a dirty play by Nurse, he went for shoulder, with his elbow dropped, but Bennet skated out of the way for the knee on knee.

If Bob gets pulled in game 5 we have a series. Of course Bennet seemed injured. He wanted a bigger penalty. The Panthers looked terrible in this one. Give credit to the Oilers they were on fire.

I think it would have been a shame if the Oilers got swept, not just because they have so much talent, but because they've played so well in this series despite losing the first 3 games. @@ryans413i dont think they figured out the cats. The cats hit two posts that could have changed this whole game early. Every panthers player threw the game away after bob was pulled the last few goals dont effect anything. Oilers change in gameplan was just lets cherry pick more to get more rushes and the panthers pinches were unorganized. I think its over in 5 max 6. But you never know.

Its wild for all the injury baiting the Panthers have done this series that not a single player has missed more than a couple of minutes of ice time. Seriously though, the second a player goes down the tunnel like they just got hit by a landmine and then returns before the powerplay even expires they shouldnt be able to play the powerplay... Refs need to start keeping punchcards for the worst offenders. Especially when the feigning only lasts as long as the review for a major. Honestly the last time I remember McDavid acting as though he was that hurt he had a torn PCL, torn meniscus, cracked fibia, and a torn muscle. Somehow McDavid gets the crybaby reputation when apparently the entire Panthers organization has glass bones and paper skin.

Nurse only got 2 because Panthers have been trying to sell "Career ending injuries" every fucking time they get hit, and the refs are catching on. Bennett didn't even miss a shift, he walked down the tunnel when he heard there was a review to try and sell it further... oh but guess who made it out to participate in that powerplay. It's a miracle!! Bennett is healed in 30 seconds. Who woulda guessed that would happen??? Lol, Panthers are a joke, they don't deserve a cup.

Bennett 'eventually' returned.. 😂.. he was back on the ice skating at full speed before the powerplay was over. 2 for the knee was the right call (at most).. Nurse had him lined up and Bennett was moving out of the way. Foegys penalty was absolute horse shit

Panthers fan here. There are two truths that both exist at the same time: 1) This IS huge for Edmonton, to get on the board in the series with a whopping 8-1 game, and Florida should continue to worry about opening any doors for Oilers momentum. Indeed, Edmonton *has* been fighting harder in this final than people give credit for. 2) It is still only one win while being down 3. Edmonton will have to wrestle extremely hard if they're going to try and reverse it, which is not impossible, but just because you got one genuinely amazing win doesn't mean the series is over already, like so many would have us believe.

3-0 up in the series is way better than Florida has actually played. Game 1 and 3 easily could’ve gone Edmontons way if a few of the many many shots go in.

Too much pressure in the well. It had to blow. Funny. I turned the game off when the Oilers scored first because it just seemed like their night and I had other things to do. Saving it for game 5 which I have to imagine will be a little tighter. Florida did go down 2-1 to NY before slamming the door shut on that series. Bob did have five goal-against games against Tampa, Boston and New York and recovered just fine. I doubt anyone is pushing any panic buttons in Florida.

well how quickly the tides have turned. Bob gives up 5 gets chased, now the seed of doubt is planted. let's see how the Cats respond. for game five!!

Okay so full disclosure. I'm rooting for Florida. But thank goodness Edmonton made it interesting. The crowd was electric. All it means for me is more hockey.

I have been an oilers fans like 1970's .. this will be going to game seven .oilers and panthers. Panthers got 3 . I was hoping they would find the weak spot. And they oilers will bring home they cup. .

Lots of arrogant Panthers fans for sure. They've been shooting their mouths off all series long. They're a little bit quieter today. Funniest thing is, Florida doesn't have fans in the regular season. They only have fans when they make it this far. Some "fans" they are. Only there at the end of the playoffs. Also I recall a game in January, Oilers at Panthers. And the Panthers rink was absolutely PACKED with Edmonton fans. They were chanting "LET'S GO OILERS" full blast in Floridas rink. Funny how that footage is completely wiped from the internet these days.

The Panthers must be given lessons at the drama school. Their acting is superb. And the refs seem to be convinced. When Draisaitl hit Barkov the refs didn't call anything, but then Barkov went into the act he was taught , shed some big tears, and convinced the refs to change their minds and call a major. Same with the hit on Bennet - anyone hitting him should get a commendation, he acted like his leg was broken , all for the refs. Hopefully the refs will be better, and take a look at all the cheap stuff McDavid is forced to take. He is too smart, and wants to win too much , to retaliate.

As a Panthers fan at a certain point I was almost disappointed to see the oilers losing 3-0 they have a strong team and watching all their playoff games I was expecting this to be pretty rough for us, granted after seeing us beat the Rangers another team I had thought would give the Oilers or the Stars a tough time I was confident we could win, just not that definitively. I almost always expect the opposing team to pop off on a 3-0 losing streak in a series, do I feel like dog water seeing the Panthers 8-1? Absolutely lmao, but this will make it fun and I'd love to see them win at home.

Bob got chased from the net. Stolarz was "better" but it's like comparing toxic waste to trying to swim a deep lake filled with excrement while intoxicated, they're both bad it's just that one will kill you faster (you're guess as to which). Florida did get one goal (hence the nearly perfect) but other than that Stu made some great saves. The guys in front of him did a great job (double the blocks per NST. almost double the takeaways (though nearly double the giveaways), the PK was perfect, the PP Scored (on a 5 on 3). When Florida decided that the game was best played without the puck and by hitting and scrumming no one backed down. There were a couple of foolish penalties (the first one by Nurse less than 2 minutes into the period is coming to mind) but honestly it wasn't bad. Minutes played were a LOT more balanced. Huh? Game 1 looked exactly like this, except Bob played the game of his life and stopped everything. FL has looked really good in game 2 and in sections of game 3. The only reason the series isn't the exact opposite is because Skinner played below average and Bob played out of this world.

Watching game i just got feeling florida didn't even want to win this one. Energy lvl's clearly dropped, defending wasn't there. Mistakes happened. Feels like they wanted to go back to home and win there more than win in edmonton because of fans. That was free win for Oilers and huge boost their morale but then again florida didn't play for the win. Oilers have finally figured out that Bobrovsky is absolutely useless against wristshots. As for Bennett, that candy-ass primadonna was back before the penalty was half over. Wrong. Tampa won Game 4 against Florida in the 1st round and then lost the series in Game 5. Same with the Islanders against the Hurricanes. Hurricanes won Games 4 and 5 against the Rangers, and then lost the series in Game 6.

My god...this comment section would make me want to quit KZread, is there anyone here over the age of 12? Florida won 3 close ones, Edmonton won a blowout...Not one thing matters that has happened, all that matters is how the puck bounces once it's dropped Tuesday night. Who hits the post? Which way does the rebound bounce? Who pinches 1/2 second too soon and gets beat. All this talk about figuring Bob out and history and momentum is for those who never played sports and actually think players fake injuries. Hits happen. Shit hurts. I think FL wants to win it at home. It’s a huge untapped market and winning at home would result in more than 30-50 million dollars more in revenue. Everyone I knew down here was betting on Edmonton tonight, because we all knew FL was gonna take the night off to win it at home.
