This is oddly calming, except for the sirens. I used to live in a city with an oil refinery, and they tested their EAS on the 1st monday of every month. I remember it being quite terrifying until someone said "it's just a test".

Part of the siren is to put people in some distress. The Japanese opted for a more calming sound but it has the same effect now, so in reality it does not really matter as long as people can clearly hear it.

I find Finland's use of guitar and other acoustic sounds in their alerts pretty unique. I've heard 2:00 clipped in another video, and I never really understood why the car sound was there. Must of been the show's sound bleeding in. Edit: I just realized the guitar is probably from the TV show too. I wonder if the radio one is regular programming too.

The firestation was right next to our highscool. They always did the test alarm on the first monday of the month, we got so used to it that no one even flinched when it went off. I remember how some of the seniors were taking a nap in the hallway and none of them even raised their heads, there was only an annoyed and sleepy "oh come on, shut up." It was fun to see how differently the old students and new students reacted to those alarms.
