In fact. He was so consistent in 2018, under Racing Reference non Playoff points for the 2018 Xfinity Series he would’ve WON THE TITLE.

The greatest “one hit wonder” in all of nascar, the one time he won, it earned him a championship. Hemric may have only won once throughout the 3 series, but his consistency (mainly Xfinity) is insane.

I find Hemric and Earnhardt are the two most unbelievable stories in NASCAR. You couldn’t make them up if you tried.
@bronzejourney5784
Ай бұрын
@@TripleXMango To be honest, Earnhardt is slightly overrated due to his death on track. All he ever did was just bump and pass everyone in front of him. All the races he ever participated in, a whopping 3 cars were off each race, *just because* they have been bumped by him. No other driver even comes close to an average like that. If you want a real driver, it wasnt for nothing that he was called "The King".
I'll never forget attending the 2019 Daytona 500 and having garage passes with it. I remember going to Hemric's hauler and saw he was outside it signing autographs. I asked if he would sign my card I had of him and he did with a big bright smile on his face. Since that day I had always been a Daniel Hemric fan and stayed with him through so much heartbreak. When he won that race and that Championship, I released a scream of happiness and joy that I have only let out a few times in my life. Though he only has won one race as of now, it is one that made everything he wanted possible. I have stayed a Hemric fan through thick and thin, and I am not stopping anytime soon.

Hemric walked past me before Watkins Glen quali last year. Wished him luck, got a fist bump from him, and thanked me for supporting him. Great guy, great family man, solid racer. He deserved that title.
I believe I once heard if Hemric didn’t finish top 5 driving the 18, he wouldn’t get paid. It’s incredible how cut throat this sport is and how hard you have to fight for everything and every opportunity. Your editing is getting better and better with every video. Keep up the fantastic work Elly!
One of the best moments in NASCAR history at any level. "ONE MORE SHOT!" gives me as many chills as Gasly winning his first race if F1.
Being a Hemric fan is hard. Man’s been insane consistent his entire career. Beat Reddick on equal equipment in 2016, would’ve won the 2018 Xfinity title under full season points, and was dropped after just one season by RCR. (Which was one of RCR's worst in recent memory, even for Dillon). 2021 was so freaking hard to watch right till the end. Races like Atlanta, Charlotte, Texas, Martinsville, all of them he could’ve won but luck just didn’t allow. That title in the end, though he wasn’t the most deserving of it.. he deserved something at the end of the day.

He should have won the race and title in 2017, but his car broke. I see his win/title as some good karma after that all the times he’s been so close.

That one night in Phoenix is the reason why I love Motorsports. The result isn't decided yet, and nobody can completely predict it, until cars and its driver actually cross the line.
The loudest I’ve ever screamed at a tv was the hail melon and the 2021 xfinity championship finish
I remember watching the 2021 finale and honestly I didn't expect Hemric - a racer with 0 wins to become a champion. So yeah... Anything is possible.

These videos are incredible, so detailed and so well put together at the same time, and always tell a story very well. Hemric absolutely deserved that title, you could say that all his bad luck was just leading up to the biggest moment of his life.
Suprised you didn't talk about Matt Crafton, as he won a championship without winning in 2019.
He's so consistent, and managed to rise through the ranks because of it. I think RCR would have kept him if he had been more consistent in Cup.
Someone should make a legit holly wood movie about his story up to that point, I think if they can film it right, it could be a really good NASCAR movie

Fantastic job on this video. I love it! I never really payed attention to Daniel Hemric and never rooted for him either. But this gave me a great view on his journey to an Xfinity champion. Well done
I was at that race, was my first xfinity race, first night race, and first short track. Only races I’ve been prior is Sonoma every year, Daytona and Talladega. Sitting right at the start finish line and seeing that was awesome
That days of thunder clip with Joe and Riley had me rolling!!! 🤣🤣🤣

awesome stuff, i really love these type of videos
2021 was arguably, the greatest year in Motorsports In F1: one of the greatest championship battles ever In Cup: a disgraced driver comes back to win the title In Xfinity: The last lap pass that led to a first win, and a first championship In Trucks: (what happened in trucks again) There are likely other stories as well, I just don’t know them
Your voice narrating, your story telling, and your editing are fabulous sir. It’s baffling that you have limited followers. Thank you for what you provide

If I have to be completely honest, before his winning title, I just thought Hemric was that lucky but also unlucky driver, and I kinda still believe that. He proved to show some good stats throughout his tenure which got him into the cup series (even though he sucked); however until that faithful night when he won it over Cindric, he had never won a single race in any of the divisions, not even any expedition races. He has some good talent, he just can't win. Which is why (possible unpopular opinion here) that he should have stayed with JGR for another season or two, because with the current state of the team, they need any drivers they can get for the inevitable retirement of Hamlin and Truex (or something different). But instead he went to Kaulig, which honestly was a big disappointment in my opinion. Sure he was in the car that could only win on superspeedways, but still. I really do hope Hemric enjoys he time in NASCAR and does something other than winning a 2nd tier series title by feet. Because at this rate, he looks to be forgotten in the future.

I was at that race I was freaking out
Always found it wild that he won ROTY (albeit with a weak class) and didn't have a ride the next year. You'd think a minor team would at least put a bid in
