Well I think it shows how she is partly responsible for him becoming obese….. she always assured him he looked fabulous and fed him greasy foods whenever he felt insecure about his weight and Sherman obviously hates being that way but can’t control himself. Holy shit I never thought about this, but all of Sherman’s issues are represented in this. The comedian: how everyone jokes about his weight. His mom: buys him unhealthy food, but says he’s just fine the way he is. Grabbing that Turkey leg: we see multiple times Sherman tries to eat light, but due to his insecurities he relapses into bing eating. For such a funny segment they really did a good job showing Sherman at his lowest point and how it pushed into making Buddy love.
