The Nut Farm (1935) - Full Movie Enhanced Black and White with Colourised Version
Фильм және анимация
I've restored a very bad copy of this movie to HD B/W and used that restoration to colourise the movie at 01:07:55.
In the 1935 film "The Nut Farm," directed by Melville W. Brown, Bob (Wallace Ford) and Helen (Betty Alden) move to California seeking a fresh start. Bob dreams of buying a nut farm, while Helen aspires to be a movie star. As Bob searches for the farm, Helen falls prey to scam artists promising her stardom. Her brother Willie (Florence Roberts) intervenes, striving to save them from losing all their money to the con artists. The film unfolds as a comedic struggle between dreams and reality, highlighting the pitfalls of Hollywood aspirations.
I downloaded the film from the Archive. I used AI facial enhancement, upscaled both the original and colourised versions to HD from very low resolution and sharpening, decreased the saturation and colourised it using AVCLabs and RTX4090 with a Ryzen9 CPU and 64GB RAM. I then stitched it all together using iMovie.
This work is in the public domain because it was published in the United States between 1929 and 1963, and although there may or may not have been a copyright notice, the copyright was not renewed.

So glad I came across your site recently. I love old movies. Being able to see what they might have been like in color, and the unique emotional impact that each brings has been so much fun.

Those $40,000 he was offered at the beginning of the movie would be worth almost $915,500, today according to Google.
