This is great stuff. However, you have to be careful and not force what you cannot do. This is where many people get in trouble. They look good until they try and force the last 10 degrees of shoulder and scapula rotation. As a result, they stand up and/or lift the arms resulting in a loss of posture and depth. Need to stick with what you can do and slowly build up your flexibility over several months. Add the rotation and depth slowly over time but make sure you never lose your posture. Use a video camera. If you see issues, back off and continue to work on your flexibility.

@@CogornoGolf Went to the range this am. Your instructional video WORKS. Hitting 3 woods on a rope and my driver is way past the 200-yard post. Actually, was losing site of the ball. I'd say I added at least 30 yards or more. MEGA THANKS for the help.

Lead arm might have a problem getting back there with it though for many who aren’t as flexible in that area. Re- Jon Rahm and others. Hip structure isn’t restricted but shoulders are.

Great video because it shows where shoulders should be at top of backswing and then Eric’s rotation of right hip to get it in position to bring the club to the ball. It produces a smooth natural swing. Great!

Hey guys, that's a really good move for me who tends to get "out to in" too much. I love that feel of the right scapula getting in front of the spine. Thanks very much for that, I'm looking forward to seeing how well that works for me!! 😁

Retraction of the shoulders is my key to help me get my weight left. Also getting backswing depth helps me eliminate thin and fat shots

Bringing your shoulder around with the scap retracted is easy. How on earth do you hold onto the club with the lead arm when you do this though?

Yeah it just wont go as far when you have both hands on it. But nice to do with trail arm only to get an exaggerated feel. Then with both hands on probably can only do 70-80% of that....thats normal....no way around it. Good point

@@CogornoGolfthanks , it did ,sort of….instead of back and forth left ,right left, Right …i was 95% left with a lil draw …it was a tad annoying , but, a huge improvement from the day b4 of back and forth all over the place…still cant hit long clubs hardly at all ,with driver now staying in bag permanently and 3w,5w, and 3i only off tee.. oh and i also gained distance with this …hopefully get aim figured out today at range

Also noticed that the “time” mentioned ,for me, was deliberate ..meaning i slowed my backswing substantially. So much so that i thought i was gonna lose distance and clean contact at first…but soon found if i tried speeding it up thats when i would lose it all ..think i am finally starting to really understand tempo , possibly lol

I have a swing thought that my actual head correlates with the club head. If I keep my head at the same spot it was at set up, the club head will most likely return to the same spot too.
