@@sgt.thundercok4704 hi apprentice electrician here. It is a person by person basis. You get good people that just want to see a young, enthusiastic “go getter” succeed and do a good job. On the other end you can get hardass that have the mentality of do a good job or get the hell out of my sight. My experience is most people in construction that are on the same job site for more than a few days tend to be hard workers who are dedicated to their trade and work hard. They may not love what they do but they certainly don’t dislike it. They tend to crack jokes a lot and screw with each other as work can get pretty dull but still stay professional and get their work done. Their usually is a bit of “targeting” towards apprentices but for my experience it just sarcastically screwing with you.

I have decided this in my top THREE favorite movies of all time, and this scene makes me laugh cry. I have shown it to other people and they don’t find it nearly as hilarious as I do, but I think it’s comedy gold.
A few years ago, I was in a doctor's office and he was giving me four ibuprofen pills. When I told him sounded like a lot to me, he told me (and I'm paraphrasing, but this is more or less how he said it) "No, this is the right amount for someone your size. One's not enough. Two still isn't enough. Three is good, but still not enough, so four is right." And without pausing I just said "And five is right out." Got a good laugh out of him. XD

MANY years ago, when I was still in highschool.... In my English class, right after lunch I was chosen to write a sentence on the chalkboard (yep! I'm that old!) and diagram it. Borrowing a quote from the movie "Yellowbeard" (yep! 1984!) I wrote... _"If there's one thing I've learned in life, it's that learning stuff never taught me anything."_ By the time I finished writing it, my Teacher was laughing so hard, she told me to sit down. I got my 100% for the day, without having to diagram it. She was having a terrible day up to that point. That gave her a great laugh! She later told me it changed her entire day, because she kept thinking about it, and laughing. Monty Python IS a cure for bad days!!!😁

When instructing the recruits as a corporal in 1980 in the Swiss Army, I used such a monologue to make then understand the need to count to three. Years later the instructor who followed the scene still remembered the episode giggling

The part that always knocks me out is “5 is right out”.
My Grandfather fought in the North Africa campaign with the NZ Division. At one point what was left of his company (Say 100-150 originally) had 1 grenade between them. I kinda think this is how the permission process to throw that grenade went at the time.
Never gets old!
Soon after the counting to 3 became a moot point as Arthur had enough time to screw up counting, be corrected & try again before lobbing the Holy Hand Grenade & it didn't blow him up.
