Aren’t the nova marines who thought Gman was weird because he didn’t like that a lot of his son took the codex to literal

The prospect of an Ultramarines Chapter “persuading” other chapters into following the codex makes me wonder what a Novamarine and a Black Templar in the same room would look like

@@nadaningunos9339 how the heck did rogue traders get their hands on tech that lets them consistently upgrade space marine armor? and why would they not have seized it from said traders? also, boarding actions? ouch, thats gotta suck as a job. cant bring the heavier gear because cant risk punching through walls, clearing bulkhead hallways is a bitch, esp with maintnance tunnels to be ambushed from, etc.

@@terminallove3531 yeah but then your boarding a fucking space hulk, which is worse in the same way that cancer times infinity is worse than the flu. also, even boarding a space hulk doesnt mean you cant blow a hole in a wall, depressurize, and get vented. it just means instead of 1 enemy faction you know your fighting in advance you could be fighting like 3 and your first warning is when you get ambushed by em.

@@EternalDawn not necessarily, most of the rules when it comes to boarding actions don't apply to space marines because they wear environmentally sealed power armor, hell exposing sections to vacuum by punching holes in walls makes their jobs easier.

I thought they were super cool, but Typhus killed their chapter master before running away. And the Nova Marines had a lot of help.

The Novamarines meeting with the Black Templars is a nightmare scenario.

I need a copy of the book Big E was reading. You know, for... Inquisitorial reasons

It would be cool to see one of these on the Minotaurs! I don't have a force of them, or anything, but i am a bit sad that 10e has sort done away with playing any Successor Chapters, and FW has stopped carrying things like Asterion Moloch, or the Carcharadon's Tyberos, and the index didn't give them rules. Hell, even some real Chapters, like White Scars, seem like theyd be hard to play, with new rules, terrain, and certain models going to Legends, but a Succ Chapter, with none of their special flavor rules, would be so much worse. Still, the Marines the High Lords call upon to deal with other Marines could be neat!

I like them just because Lucretius Corvo was their first chapter master. Loved this guy in the "Laurel of Defiance" and Pharos. Maybe I should paint squad or two - blue and white will contrast nicely with my black and red army of Flesh Tearers

I actually like it when a chapter is Codex compliant because it seems like the majority don’t and it gets old after a while. Like OC characters being mercenary loners or some edgy shit.

The Black Templar have made me super skeptical of any chapter that introduced itself as "codex compliant" as it's second descriptor, this seems to be the exception that makes the rule, lol
