Alright, I was weary about the classic album review idea because it's like, I've already heard this album and made up my mind, don't need you guys telling me about it. But I enjoyed how you guys did this. Less of a review and more of a lookback, a personal reflection, and a discussion on what makes the album great.
Great review. Awesome hearing each of their individual experiences the first time they heard it.
Raq's intro was dope. DB's trollin was excellent. Dope album. Remember hearing the singles on radio. When i was 15 I got Ready to Die and listened to it in it's entirety and at that time gimmie tha loot was my above all favorite. That album has aged like wine. Great video. keep'em coming
I was hoping for Modest Media to get his opinion in
Do tupac all eyes on me
madvillainy!! my favorite album ever!
this was so good, one of the best reviews ever, the stories they told added that extra layer which was so entertaining and interesting and a great review too!
Wow, beezy was very articulate in this review. Sometimes when I watch vids he doesn't seem interested. But yea, Ready to Die will never fade away.
That was real cool how y'all worked that out...Feefo usually goes first but he went last this time. Then he tells how he listened to Biggie's albums backwards. I don't know if y'all did that on purpose but it was awesome!!
This is one of my favourite reviews from y'all, Lol @ the personas you guys put on relating to the past and loved how you recollected the first time you heard the album. It's my 2nd favourite album ever and like you guys said if you don't like this album you can't like Hip-Hop. Also Myke C-Town is the funniest person on KZread.
I loved this classic album review! Y'all were so hyped going down memory lane and were so enthusiastic talking about the album and dressing the part and shit lol. I can't wait for more of these!
YES thank you for this, as a person for whom biggie was their gateway rapper into the world of hip hop, this has made my week
Love Beezy's story on this one. You guys keep it up these rock seriously.
I really do appreciate the honesty and reflection on this reveiw. As an artist, it is great to see the effects of a true emcees legacy shared through the experience of others.

I had a smile on my face the whole time watching this. Ready to Die was and still is an amazing project. It's the greatest hip hop album ever to be honest.
Doomsday, Madvillainy, or Mm.. Food
Yall gotta do more of these
Never seen a DEHH "Classic Review" until now. I like the idea. Keep them coming, ya'll.

This month should deff be illmatic seeing as the 20 yr anniversary is coming! Probably the best hip hop album of all time!
I was hoping Myke would mention Del's Worldwide. Dope vid +subscribed
A timeless piece of music.
I totally agree with beezy! When I heard unbelievable i was like i had to get the ready to die album!!! Something bought that jam
This was a great review. The stories that came out of this was awesome.
Beezy loves this, I haven't seen him this excited to talk about an album in a while!
Got damn, I love you guys! DEHH keep doing yall thing. Whoever thought of doing this shit is brilliant. You guys have got to do Illmatic.
So dope and hilarious as always! Thank you so much for this new segment. I don't think I've ever sern Beezy this enthusiatic, not to say y'all others weren't. I've always failed to apprciate Biggie but after writing this, I'l give the record ASAP. PS: What about Rod's opinion? I would love for him to be included in the next Classic episodes...
If I could've joined in on any of your reviews it woulda been this one. so entertaining and relatable
Glad to see Raq is doing this! Great review...Do ATLiens next.
GREAT review, I wanted to get a little more in detail of how Raq got into this album... Oh well.. Cool intro as well.
love hearing your guys memories of when the album dropped and stuff
Raq is really cute.
Props for mentioning Easy Mo Bee!!!
Isn't it about time to have another classic review?
Great discussion guys
Dope keep this up guys

future62 Could you just imagine how hip-hop would be if Pac & BIG were still here? Those 2 greats were kings of hip-hop. That ruled the nigga Kingdom.
I'm the same as Feefo, got hooked as an 11 year old on tne I'll be Missing You Police Sample, bought No Way Out, listened to Biggie on Victory, immediately bought Life After Death. I just wore Life After Death out. Then when I got to freshman year of high school me and one of my friends went to the "CD store" bought Ready to Die and just spent the next school year riding around smoking weed and listening to that album over and over and over again. Pretty sure I know every lyric to every song on the album. Great review.

I say either All Eyez On Me, Illmatic, Enter The Wu-Tang, Marshall Mathers LP or Ridin' Dirty
really good discussion, u really got me to start listening to biggie. would love to see a review of one of the early eminem albums! keep it up guys. love from sweden
girl at the beginning sounds like miz marvel.. from the Rza tracks!
Yo thanks for doing this Y'ALL.... I was freshmen in h.s when this dropped so . I can relate to most of you. Love the outfits
Love the nostalgia, keep making great content DEHH. back in '94 I didnt want to like biggie, for whatever reason, and all i knew was big poppa and the one more chance remix. we would just clown him for being fat and keep listening to 2pac. Fast forward to 2011, im in Best Buy and i see the remastered CD, so i buy it. The ENTIRE time im listening to it, every track, im getting more and more pissed off at myself for not buying this album when i was 15. ironically, i bought Life after Death the day it came out, and to this day it is still my favorite CD. After listening to Ready to Die, it made Life after death even better. I had the same experience with Eminem, i didnt want to like the white rapper with bleached hair, and never bought the Slim Shady EP, but i bought Marshal Mathers LP the day it came out, and didnt listen to SS until 2002, and it made MMLP even better. The story telling and them painting the picture of life through their eyes is what makes them both so good.
I love this new segment already. I hope y'all do Enter the 36 Chambers
Lol Mike looks like Flava Flav or some shit in this vid, haha
never knew yall take it back like that on classic albums.big big ups to deadend hip hop and shout out to the fine ass sista wit the lyrics.
keep it coming with the classic reviews, this was great
I never seen beezy so into a review like this haha dope review from the group. This album will forever go down as a classic
You all got me wanna listen to this album again. Gonna Jam to some Warning in here lol
C-town and that fubu shirt haha great review DEHH
I definitely co-sign what B said about Easy Mo Bee...Flava N Ya Ear is still one of my beats of all time!
I have never seen B be more happy while reviewing an album. Great.
Man, listening to you guys reminisce about the time period was equally as good as the review of the album itself. Getting blank cassettes, getting locked out by moms, took me back. It's crazy, because at the time I thought Tical was the better album. Now the only rap album I like better than Ready To Die is Illmatic.
Y'all should bring this back!
ILLMATIC
All Eyez on Me next month.

Overrated project. Liked it, don't get me wrong, but the lyricism was average. Beats were great for most tracks and the features were hit or miss. College Dropout and Late Registration were better.
@KungaMatata
10 жыл бұрын
SONYroxs The lyricism fit the feel and emotion of every song. Runaway, Hell of a Life, Blame Game, Gorgeous, Power, So Appalled, Devil in a New Dress, and Dark Fantasy all have certain verses with true lyricism. Raekwon, Jay Z, Pusha T, John Legend, hell, EVEN Nicki and Rick Ross had tight verses. Every song had a purpose being on there which is why I feel its his best album.
@Sadvillainy
10 жыл бұрын
His lyricism wa AVERAGE, sometimes corny and nonsense, Jay had two weak verses and some songs were pointless and went on too long. I guess since it's Kanye, we can excuse all of that.
April 2014 yall should do Pharcyde "Bizarre Ride II: The Pharcyde"!!! Straight CLASSIC!!!
Do more of these classic album reviews. Do Lupe Fiasco's The Cool next.
Do illmatic next
It's great to see Beezy's enthusiasm on classic reviews. "Unbelievable" is great!
Dope review...first time I ever saw feefo in sunglasses...gimme the loot is my fav track also, I always thought it was 2 diff mc's on that track and when I found out it was biggie doing both voices I was like God damn this nicca is tight...my bro didn't even know til recently that was the case and he's the one who put me on to hip hop..also like how he used the word "RASSHOLE" in warning..i'm from barbados so he repped us and I appreciated that...CLASSIC
GZA's Liquid Swords next month. Would love to hear your guy's thought on such a lyrical composition.
Great review. Shout out to Raq. She was Spittin
This is such a dope idea
I always thought there was DoItAll Dupré from Lords Of the Underground on Gimme the loot! The other voice sounds just like him. Lords were dope as hell. I would really like to see artists from other places besides the east coast on the classic album reviews, other wise it would seem regionally biased. Thanks for this review though, I was in the 10th grade when this came out. One of the best albums ever!
That second verse on Gimme The Lot straight fire! "From the Beretta, putting all the holes in ya sweatta. The money getta"
that Raq intro was dope AF !!!!
Knowing that B is a producer I would love to here his take on donuts by j dilla
SICK Perfect review for today RIP Biggie One of the best flows in hip hop and thats not open for debate
Paid in Full. Black on Both Sides. Endtroducing. Supreme Clientele. Liquid Swords. Ridin Dirty. Aquemeni. Late Registration. The Chronic. Way 2 Funky. Operation: DOOMSDAY. Paul's Boutique. Etc etc.

They need to do this
This album is everything to me Being from Brooklyn Biggie personified Everything that was going on at that time I didn't purchase the Album til I was 14 but I remember back in 1996 when I was 6 years old the Energy that was in the streets especially when you played a Biggie Record it was so Raw, Authentic, and Honest. My Favorite Song is Everyday Struggle because something about is so relatable and the best song to me is Unbelievable Premo just bless Biggie was some ill shit. Overall This Album is Flawless, Biggie's Flow, Delivery, Story Telling is Undeniable Ready to Die is Undeniable and Classic Record everyone could listen too and enjoy in their own way
