Im a little older than u. This song was played so much during my teens that I actually overlooked it. Being a staunch 90s hiphop head, commercial songs were overlooked. Id rather listen to a give me the loot or friend of mine etc during those days... It was only last week I actually listened to it. Like _really_ listened to it and appreciated the effortless rhymes, flow, cadence, confidence, amazing background vocals and harmony, production and cameos in the video. White guy who fell in love with hip hop/rnb in late 80s. I always say this has to be considered one the greatest hip hop songs of all time. I was 17 when this was out in 95. My life was friends, parties, girls, weed and sports in no particular order. I had this cassingle because the remix wasn’t on Ready to die which a lot of my friends had. Back then I just thought the video was cool with all the cameos. Looking back almost 30 years later, it’s a great reflection of great era of hip/rnb during the time but sad to see many of the artists in the video are gone.
