I saw this movie for the first time and it was very touching that it made me shed tears,kinda reminded me when the person I fell in love with and we talked for several years and never really got to meet him,then one day I stopped hearing from him for a whole year that it broke my heart and I felt we should have met,I felt depressed for few months and I had to move on with my life,til I me a new guy in my life and then my pen pal I talked for years suddenly calls me and explains to me why he hasn't talked to me in along time cause he was sick with the HIV,i would done anything for him if he would have been honest with me in the first place,I know its not the same as the Notebook but it was close to wear he didn't contact me and thats where this song drove me in tears.

Such a touching piano piece. It is beautifully written, I also love the movie...it is my favorite romance film, and I do not like romantic movies very much. But The Notebook is a great one....both the movie and the book.

I remember the first time I watched The Notebook it was so addicting especially when this song plays in the beginning that I think about this all the time to the point I watched the movie everyday and use the date when I first watched it as my password 🤧

I think you did a great job, regardless of the camera! Here's my advice to my students who have red light syndrome. If you tense up when the camera is rolling and you want to learn to relax never turn it off. Record everything you play, even your practices. You don't have to save everything you record but by always playing with a camera rolling you'll get past your fear. Good luck!

Michele Salvemini just have fun. That’s what I do. I play whenever there’s a piano and I don’t get nervous especially if there are people around. As long as you have fun playing and enjoy it you should have nothing to worry about!

Hey Jeff...I’m confused. Why does my arrangement of this song (which I purchased from Musicnotes) start out like the one you are playing and then at measure 16 and after your arrangement is different. Also, the ending in my music ends on a G chord...GD in the left and GDBG in the right hand? Your’s ends on C. Thanks!

That's interesting. The Musicnotes version appears to deviate slightly from the original soundtrack version, for some reason. My friend gave me this score so I could play it at her wedding. I don't know where she got it, but it is an accurate transcription of the version that's in the movie.
