I swear this is me and my girlfriend been together for 5 years now been friends even longer. Some people will say the same thing but no bs here we have been on and off for sometime now. I've fought to be with her show her how much she actually means to me but cant be one sided never forget that. Its always a two way street treat the ones you love with the same in return. Hard work never giving up on the one you see bein with for a lifetime. Its hard never easy i didnt want take the easy route because i love her so. Its crazy the things you'll do to be with that special someone. If you think you have found that soulmate so to speak dont let it go dont be a fool dont lose track. Life is crazy you can be happy or in ya deepest hell depends on you.

2:20 the way she weeps is such a powerful thing. It's her knowing what she needs but at the same time chasing what she wants. Everyone has wants but our needs are the only things that will make us happy. Great acting 10/10.

Wants makes one cheat their way out having only needs in life. If needs alone made one happy, majority won't cheat, especially post marriage, wealth, kids and even grandkids, to a very responsible partner even. People still cheat because the needs are the brain's demands, the heart wants what it wants, people ignore it, thinking it's the smart lifestyle until psychology bites them back.

Everybody has someone in mind when watching this scene. It can be a memory, a long lost longing faded or not over time, it can bring a wonderful warmth to your soul or that heartbreaking feeling that only who's gone through it knows what it's like. Different worlds, different people, different countries, locations, but one thing is mutual for everybody: one person comes to your mind. Who's your someone? I never really had an interest in this movie and in some ways still don't see all the hubub. I came here for a scene I am doing with someone that wanted to perform this. Your statement resonates with me though. I don't know if I would say mostly but more like many of us. I think it's all too often we believe this lie of "love" in the modern sense and that there is some soulmate out there. I think the reality is this is not at all the case. I think it is more there are numerous people out there that we can be so compatible with that would care for us in a romantic sense. However, in a planet with 7 plus billion people on it and our lives being very small in what we do and where we go due to money and time, the odds are hard to come across them. Also, love as we know it today is only more a recent thing. Marriage and "love" was more of something that was to tie families and clans together to form alliances; and, in that sense the couples HAD to make it work to some degree for the sake of estates, alliances, money, and so on if not at least on the surface. That being said, it takes a lot for two people to come together. Hell, it's even a a lot for families to want to be in the same room with each other over extended periods of time because of our own issues; try getting two strangers together and you see how this is magnified. It is true though, as much as movies are fun, emotional, an escape, and take us away from our own lives, too many of us look to movies and cinema as though it is a real expression of the human life when in reality it is more of a fantasy than anything. Relationships and keeping people together takes A LOT of work and effort. Frankly, most people don't want to do any of that.

It's amazing how much men are willing to do and how far we are willing to go for a woman just for women to be complete liars deceivers and break men down to absolutely nothing don't know how to treat a man wants to do nothing for a man and one fight she moves on like it's nothing but this is the exact reason why it is so easy for women to move on because of men being so good and once it gets hard she goes to the next man and she wants that high again of that man being over the hills for her doing for her making it all about her... This generation of women are no good.. But in all fairness it's mens fault more for putting these women high up on pedestals and letting them get away with their acts

For people who say love is not a fairy tale, you’re wrong. *This* scene exemplifies what the fairy tale really is. It’s hard and takes work. But as I have seen with my own parents-if you truly want the person, you both find a way to make it work. And I’m glad they have, and still do, with their love growing ever more stronger.

This scene reminded me of Jeremiah 17:9, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” It’s personally a struggle to be doubtful about loving someone. I believe that’s why experiencing God’s love and being rooted in that love first is essential. Ephesians 3:14-19 gives more knowledge on this. We so desperately need this kind of guidance in relationships.

This is what love looks like! The thing with Allie is she was confused as to what to do because for 7 years she went on thinking he forgot about her and lived her life with her parents planning her every move so for her to make a decision that wasn't apart of "the plan" was hard for her. But in the end she had to choose what would make her happy and although Noah didn't have a ton of money he wasn't broke and they weren't going to be living in a shack, he build a beautiful home. She made a decision for herself that didn't include her parents for once in her life and mainly because she saw the loveless marriage her parents had and she wanted more than money!

I was one of those teenage girls that loved him and wanted to marry him(I'm 38 and still do by the way lol, my husband wouldn't care haha) but I was heartbroken when they broke up. I still am. Everyone is so obsessed with him and Evans acting in The Place Beyond The Pines but I didn't think the chemistry showed. He has so much passions with so many of his female costars including Michelle Williams and Carey Mulligan too. I think I just love him haha. But these 2 were amazing. This movie just made you love them. My husband to this day still walks around saying WHAT DO YOU WANT just like he did anytime I don't have an answer because I watched this so much.

You'll fight, seek forgiveness, and then love each other endlessly. It comes naturally. Your head may say head out but your heart tells you to stay. Its commitment ❤️when you find the one they'll never give up on you, you'll know it. Its rare. So hold onto it when it comes ❤️

Sometimes you can love someone with absolute vulnerability, putting your heart on the line and knowing deep down they feel the same. But unfortunately for reasons outside of that loving connection the other person may simply not be able to be committed to you. Love is a mysterious, beautiful thing that expands past 2 people spending their lives together. But fighting for love will always be a heroic thing. Not for the other person but because you showed yourself that you are capable of loving and being vulnerable without fear of the outcome. This then becomes a tool you can use in all aspects of your life. 💖🌻

I may cry every time I watch this movie but Norah makes a good point. Life isn’t easy for anyone. It’s hard, we have to make hard choices and face the hard times that may or may not happen but if someone is Will to be there for you through those bad times and good that is a man worth keeping. And Ally NEEDS to understand that she is a person. Not a thing that has to obey, or sacrifice everything just to everyone around her happy. It isn’t a sin to want something or someone. But it has to be something that YOU WANT enough.

When in reality the man she loved wrote many letters that she never got to see. When my grandmothers mother passed away, my grandmother was able to see the letters but by that point she was married with 3 children. She valued her family unit but she and my grandfather slept in separate beds due to lack of intimacy. Makes me sad she never got to read those precious letters in real-time. I once loved someone like this, and he loved me like this. And our love survived a great deal of obstacles, such as distance time and everything that was trying to tear us apart. And we had old pictures of each other, saved messages, engraved memories in our hearts of memories and emotions that we held onto when life would separate us yet again. Our love survived storms I’d say, then one day we outgrew each other and the love we once felt became a distant memory. People change, and so does their love. I saw your comment on the “why didn’t you write me” video and it says that you wrote the comment that you wrote on there about ten years ago but then you’re wrote that you found someone who loved you like this five years ago. Is this who this comment is about? If so, I’m sorry :(

Libby Calina aww actually girl no, I did ultimately find the love of my life who I’m with currently! I’ve been with him for a while now, but when I came across this video and commented five months ago, I was talking about my ex who was in my life for years and we went through all these impossible obstacles to be together, all in all. When they’re the right one for you, things won’t feel so complicated and forced! So there’s hope, noir soulmate is out there! 💛

Yeaaah that doesn't really work I mean in fantasy fairytales books and this movie sure but in all reality people tend to lean on leaving the other or having a divorce because they don't want to fight for the relationship and found something new and better a new flavor of the month or they forget why they started the relationship why they fell in love give up and move on

I could really fall in love with a man like this. I'm for real. So much of who his character shows is a good glimpse into the mind of a good hearted man. Not a perfect one. But a good one.
