Few tips I do have for parking at FSH 1. park at the transperth parking (as close as you can to the station if you can) 2. make sure you have a smart rider that's connected to your car redgo 3. catch a bus from the station ton the hospital which is one stop but. ( you have to use the transperth if you going to park in their parking lots. Doing this has saved us so much money throughout the year. $2 for a day for parking transperth and like 80 cents bus fair instead of $3 per hour or $26 for a day for using the hospital parking. I hope this helps xx

You're such an inspiration! What i admire so much about you is that you're trying to stay so so positive about everything even when you where in the hospital for x time. Maybe what im about to say sounds super weird but still wanna say it, i have Emetophobia (Phobia for puking, seeing/hearing others puke or when i have to my self) and everytime you talk about that you fell sick but after puking or so you feel so much better and here im feeling like such a numnuts because im so super scared about it. I wish i could be as strong and easy about it as you are! You're a big inspiration to me and to be honest a massive power women!

These are real drainage tubes, also called Salem sump tubes, and the "weird end" is actually a connector for if you were using a suction device to drain. In bowel obstruction patients or active GI hemorrhage we will usually use suction, either continuous or intermittent, to help clear out the GI tract. They usually are double lumen. One being connected to suction for drainage while the other can be used to administer drugs or test gastric residue.

SO disappointing they couldn’t fix your tube!!! Im SO SORRY!!! We are cheering for you!!! I really hope ur throat/nose is going to hold up to the NJs-maybe difflam is going to be your bestie for a couple of weeks!! Just wondering, have you tried Coke down ur tube to try to unblock it? When I worked as a nurse i found it worked quite well-combined with push/pull method with a big 60ml syringe (ie trying to push fluid in, alternating with pulling the plunger back-so you get a bit of a vacuum type affect in the syringe)-I hope u get what I mean-I wish I could show you!!! With all the bits they sent you home with, it looks as if you can’t unblock it trying all the options they gave you, you could probably rest assured that you tried everything...& that it’s probably well & truly buggered!!! Im wondering if it’s kinked again?!? It seems it’s the case absolutely everywhere & in every hospital-Anything food wise, they triple/quadruple the price-I guess they know that people will pay whatever when they have to/stressed/hungry/no other option. Most of the time the food provided by the hospital is garbage-so to avoid it, you have no choice but to buy-& of course, they know that!! I think it’s a bit of a scam to be honest-it would only cost them a tiny proportion, while the profit, I’m 100% sure of-is massive!! Ridiculous!!! I feel ur pain-I hate to think how much money our hospital cafeteria’s have gotten out of my family & I! Hang in there!!! Happy easter guys!!!

I'm probably the only one never bothered by NG tubes. I had severe anorexia and through the years they intermittently tube fed me 3 times a day in different periods. (I used to count, but when I've had it 300 times I stopped counting) I never found it bothersome when the nurses put it down, I even let trainees try it because I was so calm. The medical part was fine, maybe I have an optimal sinus area, the bad part was psychologically getting nutrients in me because I was anorexic. Now I'm recovered, but it brings bittersweet memories up from my past, seeing intermittent feeding tubes. I'm glad you will have a proper surgery to get your stomach tube fixed. I wish you luck! (sorry bad english)

Whenever I have to have a nasal tube I get the nurses to use a paediatric size. It’s smaller than the adult size and easier to insert. Have you ever tried the smaller ones? You might find them easier to use. Also I know you struggle with occasional skin breakouts. I do also. I use a brand called la Roche posey. It’s fantastic. You should try it if they have it where you are.

I'm actually allergic to chlorhexidine. Sucks when I'm doing my port access Because I have to do the iodine cleanser instead.

Okay this is a really odd question but I’m having surgery in July and it’s my first ever surgery so I’m low key freaking out. Do you have to take your nose ring out when you go under general anesthetic? I hate having to take mine out as it closes up so quickly. I get lash infills to and I’m worried if they tape my eyes closed while I’m under they’ll rip all my lashes off when they take the tape off hahaha 🤦🏼‍♀️ should be the least of my worries haha but #girlproblems

Usually yes you’ll have to remove your jewellery however you can ask them to tape them if you don’t want to take them out and when I went under GA with eyelash extensions they did get a few ripped out! Here’s the link to that vlog: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qoCFzKZxaLnYZ8o.html&app=desktop If you wanted to see the before and after of my eyelashes 😂😂😂
