Why not use retro arch instead of a 3rd screen to hide the menu, you can configure it to launch on boot up and then you have a nice menu to go through roms with their box art.

It always makes me happy seeing drawn to life I never beat the second one but now im curious because i thought this was a fantasy world and not a coma dream of a child Im more curious of the lore and the posible implications now

ages ago someone made something they called the DS jumbotron and it was like this (they used two identical resistive touchscreen displays, maybe 11” or 13”?) but they managed to get the video out of a real DS. i wish there was documentation to make my own of that thing

Desmume used to work good but dang MelonDS just runs so much better, you are better off with that.

Honestly Melon DS is the only good choice for emulation these days, I don't understand why people keep using Desume... Did you know the dev intentionally made the pokemon games run worse?

Melon DS was unfortunately not working for what I needed in terms of splitting the windows and going full screen. It was actually my original attempt before I had to give up on it. :(
