I can listen all day to your stories Mr. Bleeker. You had quite an intresting life and it must have been great to meet all these actors of your past! It must have amazing to have your foot in hollywood! The story of you being told your the father and the indian blanket blew me away!

Thanks for your kind words. To be honest, Hollywood surely has its ups and downs. I remember seeing a photo of Bruce lying in his coffin and thinking to myself that could just as easily been me. Like Bruce, I became overwhelmed by Hollywood, even though I had grown up around it. The lure of Hollywood with all its offer of fame and fortune coupled with often living on the edge with "drugs, sex, and rock 'n' roll" can truly negatively impact one's life. Some of the best and worst times of my life have been connected to Hollywood. This coming week, I plan to do a video on my friendship with actor William Holden, who experienced many of these highs and lows that he combated with alcohol that ultimately ended his life. Thanks again for your post.

I knew Mae West. I was at a few of Dr Ireland’s shows at her apartment and her house. He was a drunk. I had a private session with him at a hotel. There were several liquor bottles in the room that were used and not full. The session I had with him was useless. I didn’t say anything to Mae about the bottles but a few years later she got rid of him for that very reason. I saw his act and I don’t know how he read the notes while blindfolded but one on one was no good.

You and I had radically different experiences. In addition to attending several of his group private showings, I did have a private session with him at his home in Palm Springs and was equally astonished and impressed.

Hey Mr. Bleecker, thank you for another great story. To ask a question, when you met with Dr. Ireland, did you ever ask him how he did it? On his website, Dr Ireland mentions the christian God.

At the private showings, I didn't get a chance to talk with Dr. Ireland. Years later, when I had a private reading with him, I don't recall asking him how he was able to read the serial number from a dollar bill or any other psychic feat. As I recall, the bible speaks against psychics?

BuT on his website, drrichardireland, his "message page" gives credit to the christian God on how he can see the merged reality. I wanted to give solace to your question on how he did it as well as comparing your testimony about him. Thank you for your response.

@@Yodakaycool Hi this is Mark Ireland, the son of Dr. Richard Ireland. The idea of the Bible speaking negatively about psychics and mediums is primarily the product of clergy pointing out scriptural passages in the Old Testament, in the same books that condone the stoning to death of adulterers and disobedient sons, and embracing slavery, while ignoring countless positive statements about divination, prophecy, and other "miracles" in the New Testament. In 1st Corinthians, Chapter 12, the Apostle Paul speaks of all these abilities and encourages followers to develop them. In the Gospel of John, Jesus speaks to a Samaritan woman and psychically tells her that she's had a number of husbands, and that the man she's with now is not her husband. In several of the Gospels Jesus sees and speaks with deceased people (Moses and Elijah) in plain site of his Disciples--this is Mediumship. And in John, Jesus says that those who believe in him will do the works that he does, "and greater works than these he will do". So my position is that my father was manifesting the gifts of the spirit and the church has lost touch with the original vision Jesus had to share. After all, who in the modern church is displaying these gifts? Nobody. Anyhow, I am not a religious person, but I am a spiritual person and I have a reasonably good knowledge of scripture. My dad's main message, which I choose to share, is that we are spiritual beings experiencing a physical life to go through experiences that refine us and when this life ends, it is not the end of our existence by any means. Most Christians lean on tradition or what they're told in regard to these subjects and don't take the time to dig deeper into scripture themselves and use their own discernment.

I don't know if there's anything to defend. Many of those who knew Bruce personally have stated that he had a temper and was cocky and at times arrogant. Ed Parker made this statement at the podium at the Tribute. Being cocky isn't a bad thing. Joe Lewis was cocky. I saw the film and wasn't offended by how Bruce was portrayed, although I did feel his mannerisms and some of his dialog was at times a bit over the top. Who was Brad Pitt supposed to be? Gene LeBell? Thanks for you post.

I knew Mae West for a number of years. She let Ireland go later on because of his drinking problem. I had a private session with him around 1971. He had a number of open liquor bottles in his room at the hotel he was staying in. The reading was worthless. I didn’t tell Mae about the bottles. Later on she found out he was a drunk. He’s dead now.

I had a private reading with Richard Ireland in 1974 at his home in Palm Springs. He didn't appear to have been drinking, and I didn't notice any bottles anywhere.

He was an alcoholic and it didn't serve him well, but most of us have our flaws. He also did a lot of good in his life. I've received dozens of emails from people from around the world who told me that he helped them immensely, some even said he saved their lives. I believe you're wrong about Mae West "dumping him" because I met her in 1978 and my father and her were still very close. I even received a private tour of her place. He did a reading for a group that night and it was excellent.

Here is Tim's response: "I never said that at all. These fans say crazy things. I never knew she let him go. I was there at almost all his events. Only thing I remember Paul once said towards the end was that he had gotten too theatrical. I was fond of your father. I don't know where Mr. Martar got that."
