It's the confidence. Nigerians will turn up anywhere and in any country and refuse to take a back seat or play 2nd fiddle. A South African, for example, would probably find themself timid in Lagos - most certainly struggle to find their feat. The reverse is the case with Nigerians. There is also the fact that our population size creates a competition that toughens the average Nigerian - survival of the fittest plays out a lot in Nigeria, so when we turn up to most places in the world, we come ready to fight for our place. One thing that helps Nigerians is our ability to organise into groups wherever we find ourselves. So within a short time you do not know that Nigerian, you know those Nigerians and that block can sometimes appear intimidating to the locals.

Nigerians and other Africans are bringing business and money in South Africa so stop saying Nigerians are taking jobs. One advise for these Africans; stop going to countries that doesn’t respect you. When you are a business person and bringing tax and revenue to that specific country you should respected as long as your business is legal. It is shameful to see people getting robbed killed because they hold different citizenship. Don’t allow yourself to be treated that way take your business elsewhere where is appreciated!!!!

LOL The lies about the numbers. There were an estimated 800 000 Nigerians in SA a few years back. The Nigerian Union trumpeted this and then quickly went quiet about it when the implication became clear. There were only 20 000 documented, meaning the almost 1 million were illegal. It's probably more now.

What do they expect.When you have one failed country after another in Africa,people will migrate to the next best thing which is a less failed state .S. Africa is the most free and less failed.but this migration will only hasten the deterioration of S. Africa. Africa is a beautiful continent loaded with natural resources but the people can`t manage it wisely and they can`t seem to get along with each other and cooperate.Lack of educational values and cultural roadblock seem to be the reason.Any time that populations must rely on a government for a monetary handout for day to day survival for long periods of time is doomed.
