VR is actually being used in some college football programs already, so QB's can get more simulated snaps in a controlled environment. And tho this Madden games is certainly the most immersive and best looking for consumers, games like 2MD that have been around a bit, provide a bit better throwing mechanics for anyone searching for some some more ways to improve their throwing mechanics.

FYI, if the receivers aren’t highlighted when you look at them it means the tracking/targeting is broken. The bad throws aren’t on you, the game just needs to be fixed. It seems to break on a quarter by quarter basis

That venn diagram should just barely be touching edges... One of my IT professors is about 60-70 years old, big football fan with several posters all over the classroom. First day of class he revealed to us that he is building himself a newer PC because he can't play all his VR titles above 100fps anymore. Instant legend as far as I'm concerned, hoping I have a lot of classes with him going forward.

Same. Last sports game I enjoyed was that completely balls to the wall ridiculous wrestling game on the GameCube.. Day of Reckoning, I think it was called? The feeling of repeatedly beating your cousin in the head with a table, the sheer impact force felt behind it, all despite actually being on the same team, is unmatched to this day in any game. Especially because modern wrestling games are hot garbage.

I searched up this game yesterday, and there's several videos on it, from months ago even. Today there could only be more. I usually love your genuineness, but I don't know where this intro is coming from. Left a bitter taste in my mouth.

So cool! This made me think of an old C64 football game I had that was in first person view. That's an incredibly ambitious thing when you consider that even first person shooters weren't really a thing yet. I wonder if there's any other football games in first person view.

this would actually be a great game for those group vr stations you see in arcades. if they allowed everyone to pick a position and everyone had those setups where you could run in real life to move in the game it would be pretty fun.

I am laughing because I was there with you, not being able to the throw accurately. But because I love football. I stuck with it and even watched some real coaches showing real NFL QBs how to improve their passing accuracy. WOW! When you do that, you will not believe how accurate you will be. First, plant and face the receiver. Second, pull back and set. It seems that the Quest 2 headset can read the angle of your throw, as like a real throw, as from the set position, the ball behind your head, to the release. WOW! Third, the release. I found that I hold the trigger all the way through the throw and at the last minute I release the trigger like you are pointing your finger at the receiver you are trying to hit. It really works. Another thing, I found that in the All - Pro setting with all the automatic assist stuff turned off the game feel more real. That Rookie position felt like the ball was moving so slow, slower that in real life, that your reaction times were off. All-Pro moves really fast and the defenders are more active, but the mechanics of the game seem more like you are really on the field. Great Video!!!

I honestly loved this video, and I actually bought my psvr2 just for this game. I hear they now have pro era 2 where you can go head to head and play multiple seasons, not just the same season multiple times, but idk haven't played that one yet.

Honestly, this sounds like a great idea. I mostly use my vr for games like paint ball that can’t really be done in my small town. This kinda game lets you get the same experience you would even if you don’t really have the people in your immediate vicinity.

Habie, you underestimate the sheer number of sports fans (specifically football) that would rather watch and virtually play a sport than touch grass and physically play said sport

I love this game! They improved it to where it's an enjoyable experience from the download. The higher difficulty really helps with the immersion, though I wish they'd make it slightly more difficult. Superstar/Madden mode

Once I saw a tumblr post that went something along the lines of "Olympic sports should have one average guy competing for comparison" and I think this is exactly that.

2MD Football VR lets you play as the reciever too. Although the graphic design is basically the complete opposite of Pro Era it still has it's own little charm. But it's also way cheaper too

2MD Football was one of the first VR games I played - and I dove to sidearm a pass, instead of taking a sack... Thank god I was in my backyard and just f’ed up my shoulder, for awhile, ‘ cause I don’t think my headset would act well, as a helmet...
