It needs thinner fenders n front bumper to be flush with the wheels. Truckers squeeze into tight spaces daily u don't need to make it wider for absolutely 0 reasons it'll function just fine if u hammer in the fenders and shave off the front bumper off the sides to make it thinner I suggest u do it otherwise great truck except the chrome blinding everyone during sunny days

I will miss my 47X in ATS... but it looks wonderful!

It's a Daimler product so it's the same, just gives buyers and fleet companies more options! Personally I think it looks alot better the the Cascadia!

I have limited experience driving Western Star trucks, but every time I get the opportunity to, it always puts me in good mood for work. The best trucks out there, in my opinion.

There are 3 pair of twin trucks now, they share same powertrain and some major parts. 57x & Cascadia 579 & T680 VNL & Anthem Only LT is alone.

@@Juniper_H The Lonestar is somewhat a different design, which is classic and less aerodynamic. Btw, I mean different brands has similar trucks, not same brand.

No, pete and kw have completely diferend suspensions and different interior and fiferent sleepers, but this and cascadia is just a different hood

They coul've at least use a different steering wheel and gauges to at least give you the impression that you're not driving a Cascadia. Truck looks good, can't deny it, but like you said, it's just a Cascadia with a western star nose...

@@misterlove6225 that's not a comparison. Trucks are meant to be worked with, so you use allready exsisting assets that are working. Cheaper production costs AND ceaper repair costs. An aventador is just for flex. Of course it has to look different.

Of all the three X-Series models, two of them had been represented into ATS at the same time as the irl release, those are the 49X (Long-Hood Vocational Truck) in 1.38 and this, the 57X (Aero-optimised Highway Truck) in 1.45. Even though the 47X (Short-Hood Vocational Truck) won't make it into the game, still, both of those models are awesome. Thanks SCS and Western Star for adding these two into ATS

Oh my goodness shut up. It’s made by the same company, when they made western star and Freightliner they knew shat they wanted to do with the company’s. Making a different design for each wasnt that. Instead, they wanted each company to have different options when it comes to what’s under the hood.

It literally IS Cascadia, 95% of this truck is litearlly cascadia. The only things that are different are the hood, bumper, mirrors, and the 20% of the door has a different shape, other 80% of the door is cascadia door. The indide of the truck, the specs of the truck, Cascadia. Ignore ATF, he's an angry WS fanboy who hate facts.

Whats crazy is that i saw the reveal for this in American truck simulator *BEFORE* i saw this. By about 7 hours...

I agree every cascadia is always in a accident it's like the mustang of trucks it's a meme because of swift plus its a ugly truck anyways.

Looks like a less aerodynamic Cascadia with a smaller market making parts more expensive. I like my 5700xe but I think my next one will be a Cascadia.

@@everythingnewoncarsworld9608 there will be far more Cascadias sold vs 57x. That will make replacement and aftermarket parts more popular and cheaper. The term for that is called “economy of scale”. Unless the current Cascadia gets a giant facelift soon, it will continue to be the most popular truck in NA. There’s no way the 57x will ever match its numbers. Making replacement parts more expensive.

@@Freightlinerbob the only parts that will be more expensive are the western star specific parts, i.e. the front of it. for the rest any sensible person would just buy the freightliner parts instead since they 99% will be identical

You know guys, it's weird, but I feel like I've seen this truck before, and I've been seeing it for years. It's like there's a manufactuer out there that already makes this truck. It is a cascadia, dimler is eather too lazy to design a new western star or trying to save money, so they just snap a different hood on cascadia and call it a western star

@@sergiotrucker3011 yeah I agree. My comment was purely sarcasm. I think it's a combination of laziness and wanting to build something fast and cheap without putting in the effort to make a truck that is completely unique to the brand. The digital dash and infotainment system looks slick, but you can get the exact same setup on the new Cascadia. Western Star is supposed to be the more expensive but better quality brand. It appears unfortunately, they're determined to make it just as cheap and expendable as Freightliner. That's why I don't like them. They're built with large companies in mind that are only going to keep them for 4 to 6 years anyway. In my few years experience, kenworths and peterbilts just felt considerably higher quality to me and it seems they are more driver focused when it comes to how they build their trucks.

I would rather have a Cummins . And I'm not sold on those door mirrors . They block your view at intersections . I like how kenworth and Peterbuilt engineer their door mirrors .

it is the North American version of the Mercedes actros mp5 in Europe it must have been 4 years since Mercedes truck has been using the same dashboard and they have more rear view mirrors it is cameras

Sadly soon all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on....
