Thank you for showing me the Explorer feature. I moved away from my home town several years ago and I grew up on Hawaiian reggae and because I couldn’t hear the radio station anymore I felt disconnected from my roots. This is a great alternative to tune back into my local music

The reason you were able to use it is because you're from Canada, where they were first testing the rollout. It's currently available in the Rythm server, but will be rolled out globally very soon!

I absolutely loved how droeloe was brought up in this video they’ve been my favorite artist since highschool!

If you do end up wanting to make a follow-up showing a direct comparison between Rhythm's sound quality whilst keeping it monetized, I noticed they have plenty of Monstercat stuff (including a whole radio dedicated for it). Monstercat has a license system which allows you to download basically all of their music, as well as license the music for use in videos (as well as listening to songs a day early, but that's mostly for nerds like me who follow the whole label). I believe it's $7.50 a month, though. Up to you if you think it's worth it or not. You can cancel the subscription afterwards and the video should also stay monetized, assuming it was uploaded during your time subscribed.

The last bot seems to only support MP3, that's a big boomer since a lot, I mean a lot of public streams are now variant of AAC, might explain why it can't play some on them you tested in the video. For those you want to play your music on discord together. There are bots, where you can put in an ingest link for station. That got me thinking, what if you can set up a stream server and put your own stuff on to it.... Yes you can. Icecast server on Linux and "Broadcast using this tool" client, virtual cable, little setup and now yous can be a personal Spotify DJ on Discord. I also experimented where I got myself a library of music, put it into foobar2000, installed steaming client plugin, set it up and whoa... 24/7 jukebox.
