The fact that the Dr was able to get Will to open up and talk for an hour without Will watching the time shows skill. I really liked his Dr and wished that they gave their appointments more air time. Even if just a few minutes per episode.

As others have pointed out it's a common theme of Sorkin's work that a therapist comes along to help out one of the protagonists when he or she is struggling.

If alcoholism didn’t exist Aaron Sorkin would have nothing to write about. Still, at lease doesn’t dumb his writing down and pretend that there are no words longer than two syllables.

@@larrysmith2638 According to a study done by the University of Denver "it is estimated that if someone cheated before, there is a 350 percent chance that they will cheat again, compared to those who have never cheated. In the same study that states that cheaters will cheat again, they found that those who have been cheated on will most likely be cheated on again." A simple google search and you can find multiple studies that show once a cheater, always a cheater

  • @larrysmith2638

@@alexh8613 There's no such thing as 350%. I read your supposed study. It was actually a doctoral paper done by a graduate student. What it said was that, based on a very specific set of data, about 40% of people (men and women equally) cheated on a partner. It went on to say that those who cheat were three times more likely to cheat again than those who don't cheat. This is NOT the same thing as your 350% statement. It also said there were many factors that went into serial cheating. The author also went to great lengths to say that one instance of cheating does not guarantee cheating in the future. One dissertation is not a vetted set of statistics. Your source offers one set of data points. You can't predict what one person will do from one study done by a college student. If you're going to cite statistics, learn what they really mean. One more thing: it's a TV show!! It's not real!
