Dr. Swamy is real true Indian. He got the Indian Fishermen released from the SL prison. Why Siva or Naganathan could not counter Dr. Swamy on Katchathivu; its because they are the guilty. Why is Naganathan so curious about what is happening within BJP. Why no one except Dr. Swamy is sticking to the discussion.

This is really idiotic! Swamy gets the fishermen released from a foreign jail and people complain why he didn't get their boats also released! As per Sri Lankan law, since there was an illegal incursion into their territory, both, the fishermen and the boats, could be held by them till the issue was resolved with the Indian Govt. Their release of the fishermen was a concession that Swamy managed to obtain in response to their families' plea for help!

I think that may be true, because there is a tendency to have a number of slightly different parties/ associations in TN with similar but slightly different names. As an example, in political parties there are DMK, ADMK, MDMK, DMDK, PMK and so on.. different permutations and combination of the same terms, 'Dravida' and 'Munnetra' and 'Kazhagam'....

Different fishermen's associations may also have a similar nomenclature, making it confusing, off hand, to remember which it was without a reference document. Anyway, whatever the reason, he couldn't remember the name during that discussion and he said so, but I don't think that is sufficient grounds to prove that he was lying.

I am a Sri Lankan Tamil and I completely agree with you. LTTE never wanted peace they always wanted war to ensure their survival. They had so many opportunities to negotiate and come to a settlement (Especially in 2001 when Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe was the Prime Minister)but all they did was to use peace talk and ceasefire agreements to prepare for the next battle. The innocent Tamils in the north of Sri lanka paid the price for it. The international community, Tamil Nadu, United Nations and the Sri Lankan govt are all responsible for what happened in the north in 2009. They put pressure on sri lankan govt to stop the war rather than releasing the innocent people who were held hostage by the LTTE. All these Tamil Nadu Politians are baldy hypocrites (Specially Viko and Karunanidi). They are trying to whitewash LTTE crimes and blame all on the Sri Lankan Government. People in Tamil Nadu Should remember that LTTE slaughtered all the educated Tamil Leaders in Sri Lanka.

I had great respect for Swami but here it is sad to see that he digressed by developing a parallel hierarchy of issues. BTW Those two had the right questions & still could not nail Swami. Swami had no business in dealing with borders affair. Mr. Swami is a great negotiator. Having that said, This is poor negotiation with Sri Lanka govt because Swami did not have any Govt authority/capacity to counter impose sanctions/support cuts etc. The lack of authority resulted in this bad deal with Sri Lanka. BTW Where is our external affairs minister? What is he doing?

Why are we failing to acknowledge the efforts and why we are not understanding that freedom is more important than being in prison. We should be glad the Fishermen are back. Who would be credited more 1) some one who just writes letter to PM asking for intervention with fishermen or 2) someone who goes and talks to Sri Lankan Prez. and gets fishermen out. I mean why is Tamilnadu against Swamy because he put behind bars a CM who was involved in 70 crore scam ? But ofcourse we claim our CM is so great she opened up stalls, offered food at incredble prices, made Tamilnadu so economically vibrant and so on ... 100 good cannot wipe one bad... especially when its 70 crores.
