Hi Eva!! The rooms, restaurants, lobby and most common areas went through a full renovation. SRB used to be the neighboring resort (formerly a resort called Now Larimar). Secrets moved SRB to the old Now Larimar, fully renovated it, and opened up a Dreams resort where the old SRB was. So it was a pretty big overhaul. The beach was very deep with fluffy sand, very very nice beach. Seaweed wasn’t bad. They actually had a floating barrier a few hundred yards out catching it before it got to the beach.

Hi, are alcohols such as grey goose vodka included in the normal all inclusive package or only for preferred upgraded members? Thanks

Hi! There’s some stores and things to do, a lot of great golf as well. You’ll want to just grab a taxi from the resort. If you book an excursion they will set up transfers for you.

Hi , enjoy your videos ! I believe we stayed here in 2012 when it was Now Larimar, looks a lot different . We are looking at Secrets Cap Cana for my wife’s 50th in April , Cap Cana is pricing out about $400 more per person than RB Is it worth it ?

Hi Mike! Yes, this is the old Larimar and the converted the old RB into a Dreams property. Both are great options. The biggest difference is the Beach at Cap Cana is much more private. Is the beach at CC very long for walking?? I like that you can walk for miles from RB

Hi I’m trying to decide between royal beach and cap Cana for my honeymoon next year. Not sure which to go with. The master suite ocean view is like the perfect room here. To get something like that at cap Cana it’s out of the budget as it’s more expensive. I saw in someone’s video a tour of cap Cana and it looked so beautiful at night as the palm trees were lit, restaurants over pool water etc. looked like a beautiful atmosphere so I am just not sure which to decide. How would you rate the atmosphere at royal beach in comparison?

Hi Lexie! a lot of unpack in the comments section, I’d recommend tuning into our review podcast of Secrets RB and I we go into good detail on the differences. It really depends on your personal travel style. RB was recently renovated (2020), and is more upbeat (casino on site, large amphitheater, good night life), secrets CC is on a private beach, a tad quieter in our opinion. CC Will typically price out a tad higher. If you want something more laid back and like a private beach consider CC, if you want a tad more upbeat, go RB. Hey Alejandro! There are three total pools, one for preferred guests, one quiet pool, and one more upbeat pool with a swim up bar. The upbeat pool is the largest and its close to the beach. We really enjoyed that pool! It’s a good resort if you’re pool people like me! I would check out their agenda for the events in their central amphitheater. The beach had a lot going on during the day as well. Hope this helps! ☺️

Can I ask when you traveled? I do see a considerable amount of the sargassum seaweed on the beach in one of those shots... I am hoping to plan a trip when there will be less seaweed. What month would you recommend?

Also looking at Secrets Cap Cana... Hoping if we decide, that you can help us book the best one for us. I noticed in an old podcast you said that the actually resort at Cap Cana is a big step-up from Royal Beach. I am wondering if the renovations and changes changed that?

Hi! On the seaweed concern it really is random and uncontrollable by the resorts. The time of year really doesn’t impact the odds of hanging it. They did have a seaweed barrier that was helping a good bit. The beach was really nice! I was there in early February. ☺️

Now that Royal Beach has been renovated they are closer in comparison. we would still give Cap Cana a slight edge over Royal Beach, as they have a private beach. @@princesssweetpea9205 the seaweed was really bad in hurricane season when we went (August), my wife wouldnt go in the beach water, but the pools were great and made up for it. Not gunna lie though if you want that Caribbean water dont count on it here , also the beach is public so you will get heckled time to time by vendors.

How was the golf course? What were the rates like?

Thanks for checking out the channel! Very good nightlife, the small casino helps the resort come alive at night. The night club is very close to the casino. There’s two pools, one quiet and one was more upbeat. He upbeat pool wasn’t fairly tame, yet upbeat. Hope this helps!

Hi! We paid around $230 per person per night (we booked a while ago when rates were still low.) We did not have the preferred package but you can upgrade before arriving or you could get offered it upon arrival. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!

Great video - last time we were there was in 2017 - looked to go back in 2020 when the world went to poop. I can see people are still waring face nappies - can you give some insight into what they made you do in terms of "covid" protocols from when you got to the airport and around the resort please?

Hi!! They market a lot to couples but we were there with a group and had a great time. I’d say you’d be fine there either way. Unfortunately most of the nightlife we experienced was in the casino, there is a really cool night club above the casino, people spoke highly of it, we just didn’t check it out. If you really want a nightlife scene, you could consider breathless or RIU Republica. Maybe a small trade off on food quality, all depends on your style. Hope this helps! ☺️

How is the wheelchair accessible there

Hi ! I’m going on my honeymoon next year, we are looking for very romantic not much into partying. We would like either Carribean, Bahamas or Antigua. Nothing to loud at night. For honeymoons you’ll certainly want adult only resorts, we’d also probably recommend couples only resorts as well (Sandals or Couples Resorts) depending on your budget. This way you won’t have groups or kids at your honeymoon making it a much more romantic experience. There are other good ones as well but much will depend on budget, style of trip (a lot of activities off resort, do you like a nice beach or pool, etc), and what time of year you’re traveling.
