Under Hal, Brian Cashman is essentially running this franchise unchecked. His legacy will be the longest World Series drought in franchise history. Every year he is allowed to stay will just add to it.

Agreed. And let's even dig a little deeper. Yeah - Cash was the GM for the 2009 WS Champ. But look at that Team. Pettitte. Rivera. Jeter. Posada. 4 guys still left from the Teams that Stick Michael built. Plus a few other pieces Cashman inherited. Yeah - He signed Godzilla and Tex. I mean... he had all the money in the World to go out and get 2 of the best Free Agents available. But it was building on top of the Core WS Champs that he inherited. What has the guy done since? Almost nothing. Even with the best or 2nd best Payroll almost every single year. As per usual... we're Top-Heavy, and then a bunch of used up horrible contract washed outs. Decent pitching. Strong BP. But come on. Cashman is a joke.

EXactly. Could we really expect the starting pitching to stay at that level? The bullpen was always suspect. 1B, 2B and 3B was been big questions all along. The hope was Cole would return in fine form, Dominguez would come back and give them a lift, and someone would fill the gap at 3B, maybe Gleyber could even get it together. None of that has happened so far and meanwhile Gil and Rodon had some horrid outings.

What do I think about it? Hey! I think that's pretty funny! I am an Athletics fan, and seeing this makes me feel not so bad. I have been a baseball fan since 1975, and the quality of baseball has dropped immensely. The way pitching is today is ridiculous. Jim Palmer had seasons where he had more shutouts and complete games that Max Scherzer has had in his career. Batters today strikeout a lot more often, and 180 strikeouts a year is acceptable. The owners meanwhile, pay more and more for players like Mike Trout, that are injury prone. I don't know the last time I watched an MLB game in its entirety. It is worth mentioning that there are a lot of retired Major Leaguers, that don't watch the game at all.

For years this has been happening. Boone has no idea how to use his pitchers. Just the other day the pitcher was into the 6th inning going up 3BB, 4hits,0runs, and 9 SO's. Although he has 85 pitches and worked hard I think that he should have been left in there. Boone left him in and he gave up a solo shot to a batter who has been killing Yankee pitching, regardless of who was on the mound. At this point I would have left him in there to finish the inning. Boone comes out and brings in Luke Weaver. Weaver has pitched over 50 innings so far. He comes in and they get 3 more runs. Regardless, Boone will pull his pitchers out even before they finish 6 full. I have seen a Yankee pitcher go into the 6th giving up just 3hits, 1BB, 7K's, and 0runs.As soon as he gave up his 4th hit Boone pulled him out. - we lost that game. Boone has no idea how to use his pitchers. He goes to the bullpen to early and to often. By years end the bullpens arms are dead. Why was Cole rushed in? What really hurt the Yankees was Volpe's lack of hitting in the lead off spot and Boone leaving him there. During his funk he swings at the first pitch every at bat. This helps the opposing teams pitching. Ben Rice is an excellent hitter. He takes pitches. He needs to be in this line up and leading off. Sit DJ LeMahieu. He's hitting .194 and hasn't been the same in 2 years. At this point in his career LeMahieu is just a platoon player. Rice is away of the strike zone and will take a walk. Volpe is tied for 2nd with 90 SO's. What the Yanks should do is pursue Don Mattingly for their 2025 manger spot. He can help Rice out in his hitting & fielding.

They're old, slow and lack athleticism...they will NEVER win with Boone and Cashman...case closed.

The lineup is littered with under achieving players and the combination of inept Manager and below average hitters will mean another year of disappointment....They play defense like the Bad News Bears and are the slowest team in MLB...The baserunning is HORRENDOUS and the comedy of errors are allowed to happen with no accountability as Boone does not want to hurt his friends feelings...Yes Friends, he wants to be friends with the players and it shows...
