The part where Billy tells the dogs to shut the fuck up is fucking hilarious.
Most underrated and under appreciated band. Seriously. For real. Full stop. Most under appreciated band. Long live Sargent D!🤘🤟👏

I love SOD and Anthrax. Watch Anthrax's music video of "Indians", you'll see Dan Spitz (Lead guitarist) playing his guitar solo part on Billy's shoulders.
My god Billy will always be up there as one of the most entertaining frontmen! With Paulie, Jimmy, etc... Just fucking born to be on a stage!
MOD...first heavy band I ever listened to! I have laughed for years at the realization that half his songs wouldn't even be allowed these sad PC days.

^^ fucking legend in my book. I saw a clip of Scotty Ian on on Nikki Sixx's favorite riff show and he mentioned that the best riff he ever wrote in his life was the march of S.O.D.
What a fucking legend! Sang on one of the most legendary thrash albums ever recorded! Had the honour of meeting him in person back in 1989 at Nottingham Rock City, UK - he had no ego and was just hanging out in the club before and after their set, meeting fans and playing the arcade game machines in reception. He shook our hands and thanked us for coming to the gig! :)

I had a similar experience at The Marquee Club (in London), minus the arcade machines, though. Insanely honest, friendly and down to earth. They say never meet your heroes, Billy is the exception.

@@Simonize41WOW! I'm from New York. And there was a bar called The Lost Horizon that hosted a lot of the hardcore bands I'd go to see. Bands like DRI , Suicidal Tendencies , Cro-Mags , and Danzig to name a few. Billy Milano would attend a lot of these shows as just a fan. This was around the time he had his own band called MOD. The Lost Horizon was a place where if someone attends a show you're going to see them. My friends and I would go out of our way to avoid Billy because he was such a prick. He would just mess with people for no reason and he was a solid guy. But my friends and I were 14 at the time so it was kinda impossible for us to do anything back.
Beastie Boys opening for Dead Kennedys Wow! that sounds like a show!
Billy is loved. Loved. He's like the Larry David of hardcore. Plus, he does the greatest imitation of William Shatner ever.
I agree Billy. New York hard-core is in my soul for eternity. The days of old New York are long gone but I will never forget my youth on the NYHC scene From the mid-80s till the early 90s. Best days of my life
Jimmy always gives people nicknames. I’ve been “kid with the Fear tattoo” for over 15 years lol
So awesome! I really hope you can share a full interview session with Billy. Dude will share some great memories and info for everyone. I want to hear more stories about John "Wrecking Machine"!
Real Hardcore will never die! Long Live the MIlano Mosh!
John Watson was the first guy I saw starting the circle pit. Started like a almost conga line of slamming.
Seargent "D" is coming and you're on his list.
Billy Milano would hang out at the lost horizon Syracuse NY up in 1991...
I still want to hug Billy. On a totally different and unrelated note, I wish I could have seen the Accused during the "Pardon Our Noise" era.

I drove from L.A. to Berkeley just to catch The Accüsed at 924 Gilman St. on the Grinning Like an Undertaker tour. Josh Sinder on drums... way, WAY beyond epic fucking show.
Threw an insane party in Long Island around 88 or 89 and Dan Lilker showed up … along with about 420 other people. Cops showed up and everyone panicked. About 30 people tried to hop the fence at the same time and the whole thing came down. Parents came home , weren’t too happy. Lolll
Sheer Terror, James Drescher is my buddy, Vinny Stig, Billy Too! (It's Tommy from City Gardens Trenton, NJ we did your load in load out setup, 1985 w Overkill. We hung out in the van w scotty Danny n Charlie & my friend John listened to the brand new Slayer Hell Awaits intro, seems like yesterday
I never knew that billy was a skin. My dad told me that billy milano and roger miret were apart of the same skinhead crew in new york in the 80s
love this man...miss the old days
Mr. Milano Rocks!!! Cheers & Peace.
Shutdafuckup! This Guy is so New York. He should be in a Scorsese movie Just for his accent alone. This is one of my favorite interviews done by Drew.
Billy and Scott is my favorite members in my music history, except Till Lindemann and Serj Tankian.
Billy Milano is the John Belushi of NYC hardcore/crossover. That is a compliment of course. Hilarious dude who has given us some amazing music and memories #partyanimal
I appreciate what he said about CBGB's. Nobody else has put it that way.
Really cool to watch. Havent seen Billy in years.
Loved this whole series. This is one of my favorites.
Went to breakfast once at IHOP with Billy, in Union City, NJ. In the early 90's. To this day, I've never laughed so fucking hard in my life. Everything that came out of his mouth was epic and hysterical. He kept asking the waitress if the "chefs" name was Francois, LOLOLOL. God bless.
Dammit Billy could be Artie Lange if he took off the glasses. Still a fkin legend and love the ballad of Michael Jackson.
Man it takes me back to 1987 7th grade. Come across a little tape m.o.d. couple years before I found Metallica. Now I play gospel music guitar. Wow would a crazy memory

NYC Hardcore lives that’s why we’re watching this. God fucking help the people if I live long enough to be in an old folks home.
To everyone quibbling that Billy/SOD was not hardcore but metal, crossover, whatever stupid label you need to understand, Billy was more to the NYHC community than just a front man, for instance he worked the stages & bounced at all of the clubs in NYC where you could see a hardcore show. The guy could be a menacing presence and like running into a fireplug....unmoveable. But a big (angry as fuck) teddy bear.
Come and Tour The UK Hardcore is Back 🤘😁
DOPE! Ya collecting some good info here.
Where are these guys when we need them.
Awesome guy.
If Artie Lange tells me to read a book, I'm not reading it.

Fucking legend. We love you Billy
i love billy.
His humor is not for everyone but i remember 2 decades ago when he was with SOD... He was the only one who would stand outside and sign autographs for fans with Dan. Scott and Charlie bolted. And more respect so as well To Billy when some years ago he turned down a 20,000 dollar each show tour date with SOD out of respect for the fans. All respect to Anthrax and all this... But if it has become that do it all for money then... Whatever dudes.

I saw them in a tiny club in 2000 and same thing. Billy and Dan hung out with everybody like friends yet Scott and Charlie were hiding in the bus too good to mingle..... Billy sat at the bar and heckled the openers. it was legendary.

Remember seeing MOD at the Rainbow in Denver (late 80's), Bill walking around outside before the gig with like red spandex and walking around playing on a flying V. No lie. One of the roadies borrowed my skateboard to run to the store down the block. Never forget it.
old, but a fucking legend. and always will be.
Toured with Billy w/MOD in 2005. He is good people, and a super genuine, fun guy.

Another good 10 Questions,I remember The Ramones in CentralPark Band Shell. Correction ;The Plugg (was around the corner of "Billy's Topless") was Giorgio's not Sergios and he was The Yardbirds tour manager in the 60s.His New Years show was awesome. The Plugg became an S&M place called "Paddles" Giorgio was into that. Yup, NYHC lives in my soul ,its eternal . Thats just like Billy to tell the dog's to STFU! And Fu*k the CB's movie & Coffee Table Book that totally dist' our scene.
