The New WORST Collapse I’ve Ever Seen!

The New WORST Collapse I’ve Ever Seen! The Chargers failed to win after leading 27-0 in the NFL wild Card round. Trevor Lawrence orchestrated an unlikely comeback after throwing 4 interceptions to start the game. Justin Herbert & the Chargers now have the 3rd worst blown lead in playoff history.

Absolutely. The Chargers collapsed in a historic way--and somehow were ONLY up 20 at the half after a +5 TO differential--but without Lawrence playing a hell of a second half to bounce back from that nuclear-tier disaster that was the first 30 minutes of the game, there is no collapse to speak of and the Chargers move on.

As a Jags fan, I was pretty low in the first quarter. My only saving grace was knowing the Jags had that comeback spirit and having lived in SD for 6 years, I had learned intimately, all about the Chargers Chargering.
My favorite moment was when Joey Bosa said "it's charging time" and charged his helmet all over the field, getting an unsportsmanlike conduct flag, giving the Jags additional yards for the easier 2PT and a certain win.

Remember running the 50/40/30/20/10/End zone sprints when we couldn’t do the practice scrimmage tackles bc one of us had a broken arm. I wish football were better regulated and we all wore Don Beebe helmets and Tv gladiator style pads so no one got hurt…well, fewer of us/them and there weren’t bloodthirsty cops on Facebook pooping on football players, announcers and EMTs when it happened. Watching the clip of Bosa getting the first penalty, I didn't like how the ref goated Bosa by literally chasing Bosa while he was walking AWAY from him. Yeah, Bosa probably said something vulgar but throw the flag then instead of running after him to escalate him into a flag like the ref was looking for a fight on a play that he missed an obvious penalty.
People were saying in the chat during the live stream that the Chargers were going to mess it up, EVEN AFTER the Jags gave up all those TOs in the 1st half. I thought otherwise, that maybe there would be a modicum of common sense on the Chargers side. But alas, I was so, so wrong. My god.
It's good that Chiefs and Broncos fans can have a few moments to come together and just laugh until we puke....
As a drunk Bengals fan, thank you for making me smile at halftime of a game we should be winning, but are not.

I can't believe the Ravens are giving you this much trouble. Guess they don't need Lamar after all.

Yes. You are up now. Just got to get another score then hold them.

That implies there's actually a sober Bengals fan somewhere, doesn't it?
“Unless it was sauce” 😭 omg FACTS
When you have a 27 point lead, it might be time to RUN your RUNNING back. Like, every play, for the rest of the game.

The Chargers ran seven running plays in the second half. s e v e n
Chargers offense shorted out when they fell off the turnover wagon. IMO Chargers got too comfortable in the first & settled for several FGs. In contrast, 49ers get two second half turnovers and put the game away. As for the kissed FG, JAGs just might've scored a TD yo end the game.
That Jags team is super resilience. Duuuuuvvvvvvvvaaaaaaalllllll!!!!!
I feel like something has gone horribly wrong with coaching philosophy in the NFL. Ludicrous blown leads like this get more common every year.

Lack of experience and overthinking things. Sometimes being too smart for your own self.
Joey Bosa single handedly blew the game.

He knows it, too
Fire Staley. They've blown leads a lot this year. That's a HC/culture thing. The same team that can put up 27 pts and get 4 picks, shouldn't just disappear in the 2nd half. That's a coaching thing. Keeping your foot on their throat and finishing games is something they've struggled with all year. Also, Herbert is not blameless here either. He's low on the list of people to blame, but he deserves some also. If he's as good as we all think and people say, he should've been able to will his team to a win and hold that lead. Especially with an ENTIRE 2nd half to do so. As a "dude" he HAS to be able to do that and he failed.
I feel bad for Herbert. He deserves so much better. He should have pulled an Eli.
