I remember in 2015 I was asked to judge a pageant I had been in 23 years prior and I was majorly impressed with the fact that 7 year Olds had platforms and some their own non-profits. I hadn't been around pageants for years. I was suddenly inspired by those kids and teens when I heard their speeches and intros...I started judging a lot of other pageants at the time and it inspired me to compete again at 43! I learned so much from those kids and teens. If it were not for what I saw when I returned to the pageant scene I wouldn't be where I am today! I just competed at Miss California USA as a 48 year old and can't wait to go back next year! Hoping to get some Nia Sanchez coaching soon 😊

Would love for you to make prelims recap and prediction episodes on your podcast. Both for Miss USA and Miss Universe.

Inside Edition did a report on that senior woman who represented Paso Del Norte at Miss Texas USA. She wore a bikini for the swimsuit round and she had "copper" or "honey-blonde" hair (Sorry I am color-blind... presumably dyed?). Incidentally, here in the Philippines, we also had a senior woman (she was 69 at the time of the pageant in February 2024) compete in Miss Universe Philippines Quezon City (similar to your Miss USA state pageants) and she even made the top 15 and top 10. 🙂

Love this episode. Hope there's more pageant episodes to come and more frequently too. Also, for the visual podcast, it would have been really lovely to see the girls' photos while you were talking about them so we can relate even more.

I know of a 13 year old who moved to a place where there were many stray cats. She felt bad for them, on her own she reserched TNR and learned how to trap.Over 3 years starting when she was 10 she trapped over 100 cats and they were all spayed and neutered

Join a pageant for seniors or plus sized and leave the original pageants alone. 😊
