I think hearing "KZread is dead, no one watches it anymore" really hit me because I'm still on this app daily watching all my favs. As a fan, I already lost Jenna. I'm scared the rest are going to slowly disappear too and that's just depressing. I walked away from this video really sad, I'll admit. Edit: Shocked at how much this comment took off. I see several comments saying "there are plenty of people to watch" who then name a bunch of young 20 yr olds. No offense to new creators but a lot of them are young and I am much older than them. Seeing my favorites (like Jenna) slowly disappearing is depressing. I have nothing in common with people so much younger than me. So no..there arent plenty of people to watch. Luckily I found the gaming community as of late and that's something that never dies it seems and is ageless. Also, I agree with the people that are saying that Jeffree just means the beauty community on KZread is dead. That's 100% correct and honestly, they deserve it with how catty and drama filled they always are. But I digress.

@@shanebalao completely agree. It also ties into what I said. There HAS been some loss from KZread going to tik tok. The younger ones are loving tik tok and the shorter attention span set are definitely loving tik tok. They like the much, much shorter videos. But KZread is still as relevant.

Jeffree living carefree and happy in the middle of nowhere is such a vibe. I love how relaxed and content everyone is now.

Yea I'm just revisiting Shane after like 4 years and I remember the mansion video where Shane visited. This version of Jefree seems far more authentic and likeable

Jeffree is a breath of fresh air!!! Every stage of his life we have watched him grow and evolve. I love seeing everyone happy and thriving.

Love how Jeffree included Chris. Sometimes it's hard fitting in with mutual friends that already have history and are established. That was sweet how he would bring him in and make sure he felt a part of the conversations too.

I still wish Jeffree gave honest reviews on all new products. He saved people so much money and made brands work harder for better products.

It really hurts my soul to see that people are quiting KZread. I look forward to seeing my favorite creators share their lives with us. Even though Tiktok is instant gratification, it doesn't compare to the joy and anticipation that these documentaries and collabs bring me.

To be honest, KZread isn’t dead. People still regularly get millions of views on their videos. SOME of the beauty community is dead though, idk if you know Bailey Sarian but she gets millions of views on her Murder Mystery Makeup videos to this day!

As someone who lives in Wyoming I’m obsessed with the respect Jeffrey has for our home. We like it quiet here. And we like that he likes it like that 🖤 he really is a pretty grounded and “normal” person. He’s made mistakes. Addressed them. And has shown growth. Like the rest of us. He just did it in the public eye. But he promotes gun safety, he is a business owner, well spoken, a good friend, good host (the suitcase move? Humble humble)

I love that Jeffrey is not afraid of outgrowing things, he is grateful for a moment but he’s also happy to sell things and let go. It’s so fucking healthy cause we are always changing and evolving, shit happens and we become different to who we were. I need to start letting go of things more.

I feel like Jeffree finally had the character arc we've been waiting for. It seems like he really is a better person now he has found something that adds to his life, that isn't just objects.

As a Native Wyomingite, I'm so happy and fuzzy feeling over this video. I am so proud of the *new* Jeffrey! He has done incredible things for Casper.

Honestly the whole “quitting KZread” bomb drop wasn’t that too dramatic. Kinda understandable. But I think it’s the beauty influencers audience that disappeared. I went from watching no KZread to only KZread in the past few years. But I’m not interested in drama. Reality is loaded enough with drama. I go to KZread to watch distraction stuff like funny videos or video game play of people just screwing around. The last thing I need is one more thing demanding fuel from my stress level gas tank. It’s dry. Everyone stop being so dramatic about everything all the time. We all need a break 😂

I definitely feel like part of it was an act or a more heighten version of himself for the camera, because he knew at the time that’s what people wanted to see and it would get views. @@ChanelEdwards Shane does the editing for most of them so they kind of have his style and the Vlogs are actually really good. I love seeing all the animals they're getting and the process of them becoming fathers. It's quite interesting if you give it a go. For example the last Vlog where they're making Santa's Village and Christmas decoration shopping is adorable.

I would watch a reality show of Jeffree so quick.

As a farm girl, I am so happy to see Jeffree doing it right. Never name what you eat. It's absolutely impossible to cull anything you have named. However, farming is absolutely amazing work. Hard as shit. Animals could care less if it is freezing, smoldering, or the day. They want to eat, and be cared for. Living where there is no population is epic. Harder if you are a "commoner" but, absolutely wonderful. I would like to also add.. The gun should point at the floor. Always. Never point at anything you don't intend to kill. That is just a well known rule of thumb. Accidents happen, so try to prevent it. Love to all.

@@motherofcats4760 Lol. My dad did that. T-Bone. Bacon. Roast Tip. Etc... Maybe that's how he identified them. I learned not to get attached when I was given a piglet to learn about/ look after. I named it. 🤦‍♀️ Yep... That was 600 pounds of meat later. I never named an animal after that. I do however, have a few birds I will never cull. I named them. Fluff butt, Captain McSmarty Pants, Pepper Ann, Little Debbie, and Tootsie. Tootsie got her name because she was born with a crooked toe on each foot. Anyhow...those are the named ones, we don't plan to cull. Otherwise, we identify them from markings. It is what it is. Farming is hard, hard work... So worth it. Brings about everything full circle. Your own food, and you know what's in it.

There are some KZreadrs I won't mention that I like to watch and I don't know where they went. Also some of the KZreadrs I watch that are still posting to youtube, they're not posting content anymore unless it's a live video. It’s honestly so much of the cancel culture that’s not allowing KZreadrs to be what they used to be. Every thing everyone does, they need to walk on eggshells around the people who are a part of the cancel culture therefore making their content so limited. How can someone love their job that way? Cancel culture is sad.

It’s scary to hear Jeffrey say that KZread is dead. I suffer from severe manic depression and the way I calm down when I’m super manic or lighten the mood when I’m super depressed is by watching KZread. It has literally saved my life. I feel so sad for Jeffrey that he feels like no one cares. I care and I’m sure there’s a lot of other people out there that feel the same way.

KZread is nowhere near dead, it's only because Jeffree has passed his peak that maybe it feels that way to him. I don't think KZread is actually dead at all

@@brunettemouse3265 TLDR: yes, it is lol. Data doesn’t lie. It’s not just with Jeffree, but it’s many communities and many creators seeing this downward trend as a whole for the last 3-4 years. LONG: When KZread has to implement features from _other_ apps to try and keep up while still being surpassed by those other apps, it _is_ on the decline. No one actually sits and says “wow I need to make a KZread Short” or “wow I need to check the Shorts” - it’s an _afterthought_ and most only click on one because they spam it in feeds constantly. Made to solely compete with TikTok while most only use it to cross post their TikToks and promote their TikTok handle lol. Jeffree is obviously not meaning dead as in MySpace “dead”, but the data shows that steady decline has been there for a while. To act like it’s still in its heyday is naive. It has definitely taken a sharp nosedive in the last 2-3 years since the introduction of TikTok along with many creators leaving the platform due to it just not being a viable option anymore financially. Notably when many get demonetized for not playing the game/constantly having to self-censor themselves to not appease audiences but advertisers … it rubs people the wrong way. Tack on an algorithm that heavy goes _against_ small creators with the era of cancellations while corporate cable companies took over … many creators gave up. It’s not a viable option anymore to succeed as that train has long gone. The opportunities are not there. You have to rely on brand deals from shady companies (NordVPN, Raid, etc.) just to get by IF you get enough views and subs solely because KZread as a company shuts out creators anymore. That’s bad. Viewers see that. Think of all the communities that were big on KZread … they’re simply not now. Beauty community? Drama community? People sitting and eating in front of a camera? Gaming? Reviews? Hauls? Prank channels? etc etc … they are all stagnant. It’s very corporatized now, and to deny that is like denying water is wet at this point. Anyone that has been around since the inception of this platform can see its on its way out the door - begrudgingly, but it is. So yes, the death of KZread is absolutely here. It’s slow, but definitely happening.

I couldn’t have said it better. I have borderline personality disorder, anxiety and depression. Jeffree and Shane saved my life. In my darkest moments, my worst days, I just hop on KZread and the pain goes away for a little while. This is a devastating loss 😢

I can't help but enjoy the whimsy of this series so far, I get such nostalgia from both Shane and Jeffree. CANCELLED pallet and mini MELTDOWN would be such a legit thing for the two of them to release.

Hearing KZread sucks really struck a cord and almost made me cry. It made me feel like I aged 100 years in one second. What an era, I never thought this era would die. I guess I'm one of the few who still uses KZread as their main source of entertainment. I love the youtubers I follow, I fan girl them, I give them likes and shares because I feel like it supports them. Jeffrey is incredibly smart and well connected, I know only good things will come his way with whatever he embarks on next! Good luck Jeffrey!

It's true what Jeffrey said though... Shane puts a lot of effort and editing in his videos , it's nice to watch.. but I've slowly stopped watching KZread.. this past week I found nothing to watch despite my description box being full and despite the fact that I used to watch KZread every day 24/7. Maybe I'm just getting busier?? Or older?? Shane's vid is the only one I added to my watch later playlist

I really hope that by Jeffery saying he is quitting KZread doesn't mean shane and Ryland are going to quit. I love all of your videos and they are the highlight of my day. You guys got me through highschool, college and now my everyday life. Please don't stop creating 🙏

Technically, Shane and Ryland are under a different genre in YT, general and vlogging genre/community. Seeing Shane still pulling up 2M views, I think he is fine. Jeffree, from the beauty community perspective, is just not seeing YT superior anymore.

KZread definetly still has its place but its nothing like it used to be. I come on here for specific creators often geared towards either: health, stand-up comedy, interviews with my favourite actors etc. but never like i used to where i would scroll and find endless videos i didnt even know i wanted watch like make-up reviews etc. i never have or will wear make up but i watched them for some reason but thats faded off now because like other comments have stated, this world is so full of drama and stress, the last thing we want or need is more of it. Im so happy for jeffree, he looks good and seems from a viewers pov mentally strong and i love someone that can crack jokes at themselves so fucking good on him. well done!

As someone who doesn't come from wealth and has always dreamed of this rich, grand lifestyle, this is such an eye-opener to see that Jeffree is happiest living on a ranch just enjoying the natural essence of life. And I agree, everyone is so negatively consumed in social media, constantly relying on a hit of dopamine/serotonin from scrolling or seeing a message or someone liking your post, that they don't even realize its toxic. Honestly enjoyed this video so much and can't wait for part two!

This made me so happy. I'm from Cheyenne, WY about 2.5 hrs from Casper. Seeing all the scenery definitely made me miss home. This was great, I missed you guys all being together!

KZread may not be as poppin as it used to be but there are a lot of loyal KZread lovers like me who’s literally been following Shane, Jeffree and the other OG’s since their first videos when I was a kid. It literally doesn’t matter where or what they’re doing, I’ll always care and follow. My dream is to meet them. They meant more to me than any Hollywood stars. I’ve grown with them and I’m 25 now. Thank you for continuing Shane. You mean so much more to me than you could ever know. There’s times I’ve had the worst anxiety attacks and crying my eyes out and Shane and Jeffree never failed to lift my spirit. I know you’re done Jeffree and it’s totally understandable. You’ve accomplished so freaking much and you’ve had to deal with so much hate and cruelty from people. I’m thankful you’ve stuck around this long.
