I gotta hand it to WLtoys, when they make a brushed RC, they make them faster than any company I can think of. The A959B could do nearly 40 MPH on 2s and this one doing 35 on 2s is really fast for brushed. Its impressive, though its probably achieved through classic Wltoys overgearing, but that isn't a complaint! You just don't see brushed cars doing those speeds even with the big names. The motor might not last for a long time, but then you just have a good excuse to upgrade.

Totally agree with you bro, there are not much RTR brushed cars in this price range that can achieve the speeds these do out the box on a 2S lipo. Thanks for watching and have a good weekend 👍

Thanks for the great review again Dave. Great price for those upgrades. Are the diffs holding up without needing extra grease? Will the original 144001 dogbones and CV joints be interchangeable with this model as well?

Only taken the buggy out this one time and had no issues with the diffs but I will be checking them eventually and add some if needed,mdog bones of the original should fit, don't see why they wouldn't. Thanks for watching 👍

Been too hot for getting the cars out so I've spent the last few days building my new Rock Crawler. Waiting for lights so I can go night crawling. Next week is looking a lill better weather wise

Nice one it looks okay but as you know Brushless it's what we want and like you mentioned the TX looks very cheesy but it works

Thanks for watching Fonzie, yeah this particular one looks cheesy and I still see quite a few reviewers crap on about the useless phone holder, AAA batteries etc, but like it or not this new style ( now standard ) transmitter is here to stay, personally I like the one handed lever that's included as well as more importantly the range, which I had proved last year on the 124007 can go well over 160m before I stopped the buggy due to losing Line of Sight. I have a feeling these can go out up to 200m max, I will retest it again one day. The older black tx they used for years would be lucky to get 100m out. Have a good Sunday brother 👍🍻

Btw just seen your review on the potensic atom se it is a great drone for the price and I had one sent to me but I didn't like the feeling of the plastics so I sent it back yesterday 😆 . Awesome review🤩 i think i upgrade my 2 144001 with the new drivetrain, on 3s brushless you blow out the diffs quite fast with bend Driveshafts🙈

Seems like a decent upgrade over the original especially with it being a bit cheaper though I would have preferred if they had used a brushless system considering how dirt cheap brushless motors and esc's are now it shouldn't have cost much more

I like how they upgraded the CVD and dogbone axles too, they are easily double the thickness of the original ones on the 144001. Cheers for watching Dan and have a good weekend! 💯👍🍻

i think they changed the shocks. they were going to have friction shocks but changed to oil

bruh be like. They claim it's upgraded. I dunno, I mean, maybe. It looks pretty much the same really. Aside from, bigger battery, thicker dogbone's, dif cups, metal shock towers, front, rear, and side led's, new esc, upgraded transmitter, and a different body, it's pretty much identical, so I guess those 1 or 2 or 10 little things are these "upgrades".. if you say so...

Well you pretty much went ahead and listed all the differences which i also covered in this video, WLtoys clearly listed on their online purchase links that it's upgraded so it's not a case of if I said so.. that is how this new model is advertised with all those things are improvements over the original yet its cheaper than the old 144001.
