I just thought he was a Nitro Junkie who forced Chaos Agent (who also has tubes running through him) to recreate the technology but with Nitro instead of Black Chaos Goo. This theory is way cooler, except Big Chuggus wasn’t much of a character. This being an alternate version of him makes the character less intimidating.

This is kinda like in MHA how All For One needs some kinda device on his head to be alive

theres also a theory that Megalo Don is Gunnar cause the hair and that after the Foundation beat up Gunnar he had to live off of nitro
