I always wanted the Howard reduction but they are reasonably hard to find up here.

What is a Howard reduction box? - Is it a low range gearing? Its fun to see another project on the trailer.

Yes a very low range

It is a good thing for sure.
Nice one Lance. My dad spent years trying to find a TEF 20 with the Howard reduction box and eventually was successful. Sadly he passed away back in 2001 and it sat for twenty years in in the paddock. After mum died three years ago, I was able to resurrect it and get it running again. I've got a few videos up on youtube if you care to look. Low first is LOW!.

Sure is, there are a few jobs to do but nothing major.

Is it possible to fit the reduction box backwards to give a ratio increase, like an overdrive rather than an underdrive?

I dont know but it is worth thinking about.

There are two types and they are not that common.
So Guess that makes it a creeper trans?

Yes to slow it up as the Howard rotary hoe would push the tractors along.
