Dude!!!!!!!! These steps hellped me solve a graphics issue that has plagued me since I started playing 2 years ago. Account is older, but I had a really ccrap PC. I got a new one with a super wide curved screen. Ive always tried to shrink it to 1920, but I cant run in "full screen" with the GPU. So I had it on aspect ratio. For whatever reason it was poop. I was losing players if I moved to fast, and shots werent seeming to register. I know I was on target but i wasnt hitting. Sometimes I seemed to just stop firing...I switched it back to full screen, and noticed it WASNT on GPU. Now my game looks Friggin AMAZING. I see EVERYTHING when I move my mouse fast. And Im hitting way more shots in a clutch! Your other video on upping your FPS was a huge boost as well. I got rid of the dx12 as guided. I was winning 1 out of a 100 games. Admittedly I am very aggresive. Since the switch Ive won 3 games in a day. Thanks Jerian!

Something to note; the resolution values are going off of the assumption that the user IS using a proper desktop setup THE VALUES ARE NORMALLY SMALLER ON MOST LAPTOP DISPLAYS and even then, laptops at 1080p, seem to run at 1344 x 864 resolution, mine does, so I do not know the number you would need or want to make sure you get a "stretched res" appearance, so just tinker around and find what works for you! Also there's a chance that your Nvidia Control Panel just doesn't have the Display settings, so the FortniteGame client file method is pretty much the only way.

hey guys if yall play on laptop and get poor frames i recommend 1456 x 1070, it gives wayyy less input delay and boosts your fps by a lot and if you add fps booster with it you can get supreme frames.

You actually don’t have to go into the NVIDIA control panel. U can just go to the local app data and go to fortnite and change the stretched res u want. It’s better like this because, if u ever want to watch something or do something else on ur computer besides fortnite, it won’t be stretched. It will only be stretched in ur fortnite game. Just do every step he does on the part 2.

There is an easier way.... Just go make a custom res like jerian did and after that u want to go to device manager and then click on monitor find your monitor name, press right click and disable it. Then u just want to open op fortnite and thats it u can put it the res it will be streched and your monitor will stick to naitive res. No need to change any game files.

I actually used that res in ch3 szn4 but changed to 1680x1050 in ch4 szn1 but i might change back to that😌

you could just do the maths, (1440/10)*16, to get a 16:10 resolution

@@cubxa if u want a 1080 resolution that’s 16:10 and not 16:9, to get the horizontal (x) value, divide 1080 by 10 to get 108, then multiply 108 by 16 to get 1728, which forms a 1728x1080 resolution

in case u want to go back to native just once then you can change your resolution notch by one, apply, change it back, and you'll be back on native, the only thing is that you have to do that every time you wanna go native

@@asiamies6389gpu scaling adds a bit of delay but you can do either you shouldn’t do both

NOTE that if you want a stretched resolution but you have a good pc and want quality. You can actually UPscale the resolution. Some recommendations would be 1920x1200. This gives a stretched picture but will look even better than native. and if you have a 1440p monitor i would recommend 2560x1600.

Trick: if u dont want to go to the game files u can use windowed fullscreen, martoz does use it and for some people its the same as fullscreen but maybe u have less performance and u have to do it with full screen

hey jerian, i tried using display scaling through cru to get a stretched resolution about a year ago but ended up with my main monitor getting blurry with a greyish fog like effect. Back then i used the "reset all file" in the cru download folder to fix it. After viewing this tutorial i actually managed to get a 1720 x 1080 resolution on my screen and not in game, even though i followed your instructions and did the exact same things you told to and actually did yourself. So I rebooted my pc and ended up with the same foggy effect on my screen, tried to fix it via control panel, but i discovered it deleted all of the other resolutions i had, including native, and that on the change resolution tab no resolution was available. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

How to convert any res to 1440p: Step 1: Google Omni Calculator Resolution Scale Calculator Step 2: In the first box put the Stretch res you are trying to convert (ex. 1720 x 1080) Step 3: Set the Resizing Scale box to 177.8% Your Answer: The Scaled Resolution box will show the correct resolution to use. (ex. 1720 x 1080 with 177.8% resize scale = 2293 x 1440) 2293 x 1440 is the converted res from 1720 x 1080 Hope that helps you in the future

To everyone that chooses GPU scaling because of how scary Jerian makes Display scaling seem, it is not that hard at all. Just watch his video on and its still the easiest thing in the world and technically better than GPU scaling for input delay.

Out of all the stretch resolutions during has showed 1720x1080, 1750x1080, and 1680 by 1050 which one will give me the height FOS and lowest input delay?

There’s actually this really neat app called stretch res x I think and all u have to do is enter resolution and refresh rate and u can check read only and hit apply and it applies it for Fortnite only idk how it works but it’s neat

I used to have CRU working perfectly but recently I have had some trouble. I follow the steps perfectly but the problem is that after I have applied the CRU my monitor is set to only 60hz making me not able to see any resolutions outside of 60hz. Furthermore I've also noticed that the nvidia settings on my pc change to GPU rather than Display after I have applied the CRU settings

If you have display scaling dont follow this method, do jerians display scaling tutorial, when you get used to it, it will only take max 15 seconds to get stretched res with CRU and it gives the least input delay, a good res is 1550x1050 and ive been using it for almost a year

If you don’t wanna go into the files you can just turn on the NVIDIA part and then go into you settings and go into windowed full screen
