The New Stove - Soto Stormbreaker

I have purchased a new white fuel stove, helps to cut down on gas canisters. It also gives me the ability to cook in colder conditions, without freezing up.

That was probably the fastest transition from priming to full burn I’ve ever seen for a stove. Extremely impressed

Great explanation of what looks to be a worthy MSR competitor. I have a few Soto bits, and all of them are well engineered. Thanks for a great review, all the best Mally.

I was in Japan lately and saw a table with a cutout for the StormBreaker stove head and stability prongs to insert through for ultimate stability. The table had a SOTO logo on it. Those items sold in Japan only.

@@fatkornDid you find a suspension kit for this stove? I know that Primus sells one, but I don't know if it would be compatible with Soto stoves.

Awesome vid thank you. Have you tried using car petrol? And does it leave a smell either in the food or drinks(or anything else…)?

Thanks Marcus, I have not used petrol in my stoves, but I would if I had to. Petrol can go off and leave a smell behind if you tip some on your kit, no smell on the food while cooking though. Cheers for watching 👍🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Thanks for this video (hailing from the Scottish Borders). I like the versatility, but I think there is no way to cook in your vestibule whilst using the white fuel (I know you're not supposed to anyway). It seems like the flame would easily tickle the top of your tent.

@@theasiamtmgroupOnce the atomizer tube at the stove head turns hot, you won’t have the yellow flame and go straight to on and no smell of petrol when in On mode. I’ve been using unleaded Petrol for my stove for 2 years and pour back into my car when camping is over.

@@WelshGallivanterI’ve been using this stove for more than 2 years. Kerosene and Diesel will work but its dirty fuel and impurities and soot will accumulate in the stove head. Try using unleaded fuel for maintenance free use. Methylated Spirit will also work with this stove. I use unleaded petrol for my vehicles, so unused fuel in the canister can be poured back into my vehicle tank when i get back from camping trip.
