Once upon a Japanese Railroad, there stood an old two-track shed. Two blue carriages, shining like stars in the night sky, sat on the right track. On the left track stood a steam locomotive named Starlight. Every night, after the last Bullet Express Train had disappeared into the depot, Starlight would get up steam, collect her carriages, and chuff away into the dark landscape. She was a favourite to all who loved her and cared about her. The one thing everyone truly liked about Starlight was the way her chime-sounding whistle echoed through the Japanese Valley of Tokyo Railroad System. She didn't need a driver or fireman, because everything she unleashed was pure magic. One night, Starlight came alive, sounding her chime whistle. It sounded more like the chime of an LNER A4 Engine like perhaps Mallard. Starlight collected her coaches and chuffed along to the first station named Staccato. Lots of children waited patiently and thus their magical journey began. Starlight took the children to many an amazing sight. OK, Starlight was only going at 25mph, but it was the safest speed to travel at. After the long return journey was completed, Starlight whistled for what everyone thought would be the last time. Something was about to prove them wrong. Next day, all Bullet Trains were under distressing repair. Starlight and her two carriages came chuffing to the rescue. Two more carriages were added to make four. The Japanese citizens were surprised to hear, as Starlight carried them away, Kylie Minogue singing The Locomotion. More Japanese steamies like Starlight were built, as were hundreds more carriages, and the Tokyo Railroad System was turned into The Tokyo Steam Railway. All wires were removed, and so the Bullet Trains were scrapped. Starlight and her buddies ruled.
Looking forward to this show in Johannesburg, South Africa this year and this is one of my favorite songs!! :D

@@Tiggmuffin Yes, I am still looking! Thanks so much for your reply. But I just want to double check with you, according to Wikipedia Lon Satton played this role in 1984. According to this KZread video, this version is from the NEW Starlight Express, which is from 1992. Was he still onboard at this time?
