Little tip for the intro: you should put most of your editing effort into the first 30 seconds, thats the segment that is supposed to hook ppl in. You made them clixk with your thumbnail and title, they already know what information they got from that, you wanma continue right there, basically thumbnail and title already part of your intro. You wanna really use these first 30 seconds to get ppl hooked in, they should exactly know WHY this video is for them, why they need to watch this and dont go watch a mr.beast video in that time. Bc they are just looking for a reason to click off. Your first 30 seconds usually are the most important editing wise. Even if you just standing in the lobby, some different camera perspectives, simple zooms or different shots will already hold attention better, since it keeps their eyes and brain busy. Don't wanna overdo it, but I think nobody is here to see somebody rotate camera in the lobby for that long. I personally suck with intros and still try to learn to apply that, but its already something that I found out. Some practical examples are taking a highlight scene that sparks curiosity or promises a lot of value for the viewer if they keep watching is something that can work well, the devastator did that a lot back then, its an easy and simple type of hook. Another way is what I tried to do in my spinning arms vid intro, it wasnt really that good of an intro tbh i just threw it together like that bc video only is 2 mins long anyways, but basically when it comes to editing that first 20 secs or sum took me like 5x the time than editing the rest of the video, similar for my video on the kamui stuff. I really didnt do it perfectly at all, but you should get the point i'm trynna make. Like get a few shots more for your intro, some simple editing to make it more interesting and thats already gonna do sum for your retention👌
