At the time of recording this video, this variation was assembled to forgo Edgemaster's and find ways to increase output without the aspect. However, since it's return I have created an updated D4Planner with what I believe to be the best variation of this build. Your build has points put into Dark shroud, but the skills section has Shadow Step in it, with one aspect being a Shadow Step one. Which one do I take?

I need to address this here because it happened as this video went live: Yes, Edgemaster's is live again. This video was initially created to address the fact that it was disabled. This doesn't mean this build doesn't work (as shown, I am still able to clear high level content and doing things efficiently), and in some ways I actually think this build is better. BUT now that it's re-enabled, I'll need to test the two builds in an organized sample-set to come to a conclusion about which is better. I can say safely though, this build in this video has been much more enjoyable to play. For my previous config: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hYhprqpvncybkcY.html . This is now relevant again, and has a higher output in the end-end game.

3:38 This legit helped so much. I was playing Twisting Blades since early access and was legit getting bored with the build and how scary it was to be in melee range during cooldowns. @@HuzN26 i didnt change any settings assuming youre on pc. its more of a mouse technique where you kite mobs around and flick your mouse behind you to take a shot real quick but for my settings i have mouse 1 and 2 set to walk and dash respectively. i think the key to attack without moving is shift by default.

They don’t. The chest piece isn’t the one I was currently wearing. For my aspects it’s actually Helmet = Umbrous aspect Chest/Legs = Aspect of Might/Aspect of Disobedience

You are the first i have seen to use frost. I am going with this build instead of twisting blades because this build looks awesome.

Thanks for the 3x Imbuement idea, love the Combo point spec, its reliable. Currently at L45 using Combo with Flurry, along Shadow Imbue and Death Trap with Dash and Shadow Step. Its quick on questing, just stepped into Act 4, I am a slow guy I know, but discovering around as I progress.

Strudelz! Thank you for the nice comment :) If you do want to run the Edgemaster build, as you saw; it's back alive - and totally viable. The double imbuement PT build is still good, but honestly; I've been having way more success and fun with this variant. I'm going to get to work on the orb walking video - seems it would benefit most people. Thank you! Ding ding ding! Haha, cruising to 100! I used to farm Champion's Demise and Eridu, but they both were nerfed. So I'll have to update you when I find the next best thing.

been running a similar build to this for past week. shadowstep, concealment, shadow imbue, poison imbue, dark shroud, pen shot. I don't put dark shroud on my bar but talent it all way to thru. Running the aspect that gives me stacks of dark shroud on crits. Literally always full stacks and don't need it on my bar. Same dance you explain in video cycling between imbuements. At level 73 i'm absolutely mowing thru nightmare dungeons. Having shadowstep and concealment for unstoppable is a great quality of life improvement too for hell tides etc.

The orb walking that I mentioned were you saying? And honestly I just looked at the gems and came to this: Emerald - Weapon: Because we use vulnerable damage more than other gem options Topaz - Armor: Because we are squishy we can die in CC very quickly Skull - Jewelry: Because we have low base armor. Sometimes however, I have considered swapping this for certain NM dungeon keys. Hopefully that helps.

Hi Valued, I run into this rogue bow build cause of your VDO. Thank you so much, and it's also my first play on DB4. I reach to lv53 in WT2, but the story mission is not complete yet. My play in skill is bit difference which I have to use Rapid fire mix combo with Penetrating Shot included shadow imbuement with Poisson trap to reset the imbuement that I can manage to clear the crowd of enemies, this build is so much fun. So, I have to play a little bit longer to each the end game build as following your suggestion in this VDO, I'll waiting to see your another rogue bow build. Thank you again, guys 😊😊

Great build commentary. I am trying this build at level 60 but I am having issues with survivability, especially in cramped dungeons I can't dodge ranged attacks or AoEs. I have to pop a potion even after fighting just 2 enemies. With Twisting Blades build and Siphoning Strikes I could survive a whole mob. Does this build increase its robustness down the line or is it innately a glass cannon?

If you don't have condemnation yet what do you recommend for an aspect on melee 1?

id like to see your video on Kiting, because the in-game controls are different in Diablo than LoL, so im curious if the setup is different than i have to allow for easier kiting. i heard you say "shift-left click" when describing it, but I'm not sure what that means. right now im just kiting by left or right clicking the target (depending on spell), and than left clicking to a walk location usually backwards or sideways. Ive noticed that this can be a bit tiring and hyper clicky so far, but i haven't considered any other option to allow for it.

Awesome run through i found your video when seeing what else was out there for pen shot as that is what im running and found my build to be extremely similar to yours in many ways minus a few passives on the skill tree. When edgemaster was disabled i switched to trying out random aspects on my main weapon just to see if any synergies might appear that just work ( Currently a poison pool aspect to reset the imbues ) ( I Promise i watched it all the way through ) My question is in the most recent edit of your description ( Edgemaster is back) , that skill tree shows points in dark shroud and its passives however that shows 7 activatable skills when you can only run 6 is there a reason those were spent there?

First, thanks for the kind words llCloNell. To address the last part of your question, it’s because the aspect of the umbrous on my helmet is giving me dark shroud often with a 50% lucky hit chance when we crit with pen shot.

Honestly you deserve 50k subs , good video and amazing build. I can hit 1.2m crits at lvl 82 which is insane. My gear is no where perfect too so there is alot of space for more damage!

You are okay! So previously my build was using it with edgemaster’s but since this build doesn’t feature edgemaster’s aspect, I value the uptime. However my prev build has poison trap and is viable again upon Edgemaster being re-enabled.

The core skill combo point damage sub property is awesome. I use it purely for that. Trying to min max the 3 combo point feature is near impossible. So if you’re playing condemnation, I wouldn’t recommend trying to religiously stick to watching your CP. Hope that helps.

Seen recommendations for running Dark Shrouds with the aspect that gives you them for free on crit. Seems you can get oneshot easily at the higher NM tiers so having that extra damage reduction sounds really important. Would you drop cold imbuement to fit that?

This build I would shift for pushing hard. If I'm hard pushing, I will take Umbrous Aspect on my helmet (free dark shroud stacks) and drop cold imbuement for Poison Trap or Death Trap.

How can I see the possible value range for bonuses on an item? It doesn’t seem to show up in brackets for me

So, I previously made another build guide that is going to do a bit higher DPS now that edgemaster’s is back. The tips and gameplay advice in this build will remain relevant no matter which variant you play, but that variant will deal slightly higher DPS over time.

im following this build and I started to the first video, but I cannot rush up getting good items and rushing to the content, i am even still at the end of act 2, with only level 50, and only starting with paragon points. I have to stick to the older versions of your build just to somehow get my build get going, at least I have some base idea on what to do next as i am really lost with all these skills and paragon thing. Also I only play on World Tier 1, and I wonder if you ever get the regen health stat which I do think is kinda useful for me as of this time. Anyways, thank you for providing content, at least I have some build guides for my rogue, it may not be 100% the same but I am somehow getting there.

In my updated D4 Planner you will see the helmet has "Umbrous Aspect" which is giving me dark shroud automatically. If you feel that you need it, you can drop poison trap for it.

There are some rapid fire builds popping up. I don’t think barrage is a very good core skill myself, but I’m sure someone can find a way to make it work. I just personally don’t love barrage

may be a noob question but is there any particular reason why you picked puncture as your basic, or is it down to preference?

This has been my 1st build too but I use double shadow step and the cool down reduction for agility skills on subterfuge skills and run 2 imbunes with concealment. Guarantee crit is huge. Also run the drop stun grenades on evade skill. You get so much cc and kite ability and giant shots like this build but I feel safer.

My biggest question to your video is why did you take off the Blended Shadow Imbuement node on your Shadow Imbue skill. I thought it is the main thing to help you activate Vulnerable on everything.

Hmmm. The bow thing is like, it CAN work, but I personally don't think it's better. If you do that route, you should also take Forceful Arrow for your basic skill. If you want to know more on this, add me on discord: valued

Yea that was an insane read. after I saw the comment I imedietly started looking at changes to the build. But that sucked since I got such a nice sword I was working on that had Increased to slowed enemies. which is fine if you have the unique boots, but unfortunately with work taking my time a lot I have had little time to farm them, Was really relying on cold imbuement.

sir im level 74 would it be recommended to follow this build? quite feel bored with twisting blade especially i need to go near enemy to hit them.
