So the thing is BLEACH fights don't portray clean swordsmanship, but that doesn't mean ichigo isn't a swordsman, zanjutsu translates to swordsmanship or the way of the sword, it's something every shinigami learns at the academy, ichigo was taught the basics by urahara. He's also been praised by ikkaku and yoruichi......so he IS a swordsman, bleach fights just don't portray it that way. Another example is Unohanna who has mastered every technique, in her battle with zaraki it didn't look that way but it didn't change the fact that she's a swordsman who knows all techniques

I just hope that Wit's animators are paid well and don't get the Mappa treatment

If we were to give Ichigo a katana it's likely he wouldn't show much swordsmanship. Urahara and the rest of the Soul Reapers have different swords. Urahara teaching Ichigo how to harness his zanpakuto not with how he should be swinging a sword but by solely harnessing it's nature

The One piece is for new fans, And it's not gonna be 1000+ episodes and also not coming out any time soon, it will take atleast 10 to 20+ years to come out in it's entirity.

Actually It will be sooner than 10 years to be 1000+ because they already have a reference they just need to draw. If you analyse other anime remakes then you will find that the remake episodes comes sooner than the seasonal gaps of the original.

@@jeremym4451 It will be over in the manga but anime not sure. TOEI are adapting one episode per ½chapter.. If the manga finishes at around 1500 chapters in future then that means 410 chapters more to be animated, which will be around roughly 700 episodes at current pacing. They release 50 episodes per year and 7 to 10 of the episodes are recaps/fillers, that means 40-45 actual episodes per year. That will take TOEI 15 years more to finish.

Thing with DB is most people go off what they remember as kids but never understand the build up. The reason SSJ is fantastic and Iconic is because of the Build up from Og to Namek, Gohan SSJ2 is great because of the build up from Saiyan saga to cell saga seeing his Potential. Vegetas characterization is built up amazingly to where we get Majin Vegeta as it still continues to build vegetas character in super. I personally think DB is up there with modern standards. I’m only 21 I never really watched DB as a kid and only started like last year I highly recommend reading or watch the entirety of DB again and you realize a lot of stuff you missed. 100% agree here with you man I grew up in a time where only my older siblings had seen it as kids but I was never really there to see it. Some of my childhood animes were Naruto and One piece but when I watched the DB series for the first time ever in 2017 it completely triumphed everything I had ever witnessed in my life and since then has been #1.. the consistency in how much buildup, how many good characters, the emotion, the raw scenes and the fights of course, how it explores things like nature vs nurture and free will, it was just utterly beautiful. As you said, things like the cell saga and frieza saga from a writing perspective are absolutely looked down upon and people dont really understand the writing because they just call it overrated. The problem with some people is they just have the same thoughts of it as when they were kids that "its just fun and cool but there's zero writing". I think that the whole point of shattering your limits in DB and them showing it in arcs is greatly misunderstood and is the whole idea, its literally meant to be like that because that's the core theme of what the characters represent and it's very powerful, that no matter which stage of life you're in, you can always be better. I even think some concepts explored in the super manga are cool like goku remembering his parents and him spending more time with his family than before etc. It definitely holds up and will always hold a special place in the true fans hearts.

Namek saga goated af and especially the build up. Love these arc’s where it feels where something is at stake or sum and when the world is actually moving around them and not only the mc being involved. Absolutely loved that arc

The standard for adaptations is 3 to 4 chapters per episode. If One Piece had normal/good pacing then you can get to Egghead in 330 episodes without skipping anything

This is why you’re the goat Rob. You see every perspective. Japanese people also generally have a sense of pride in their work so naturally thats gonna bring some competitiveness among the studios. One Piece has been on top for so long and they wanna keep it that way. The East Blue Remake is also gonna take forever but it will ultimately be a great way of creating a better way for new fans to enjoy and get into the series. I always have to tell people to just read or watch One Pace because the actual anime at this point is extremely daunting.

I haven’t watched your content in quite a while, was happy to stumble across you once again. There is one thing I still can’t understand though, how are you still not at 1 mil+ subs? Most underrated anime youtuber by far, I hope you really blow up soon…

I don’t know, I like Wit a lot, but early One Piece animation is perfect imo. Later arcs get a bit worse, but the East Blue saga has great animation and really fits that point in the story. Even comparing the original scenes to the ones that they have already remade years ago, I still prefer the og.

Its tough for new fans to watch one piece with old animation Toei literally changed a lot of scenes from manga and it reduced impact of scenes. Best example? They turned down the brutality and blood in anime Also...toei literally uses old sound effects of dragon ball for one piece. Like c'mon man. Even in wano, same sound effects are used for good animation. Update them already. Think about new OSTs and sound effects used by WIT. With better pacing and clean animation. New fans will love it. No censorship. Clean character designs which were manga accurate. And sanji's martial arts and zoro's swordsmanship would look peak in this THE ONE PIECE. toei also never adapted cover stories which are really important for one piece lore. Many fans still don't know that bon Chan is alive in impel down because toei didn't adapt cover stories. anime onlys think bon Chan is dead. And imagine we get new voice actors for cast with only luffy having same va. Old fans won't like it but new fans will have no problem at all. Imagine grimmjow's va doing doffy's voice in WIT one piece. Doesn't it feel amazing and interesting thinking about that?

Pretty glad to come back to see this type of video and oh boy these takes are something: I'll start by the one which was for me the worst, the DBZ one. The reason why i said this is because not only does the manga and the anime blatantly show that the dude's lying, but on top of that they're trying to make Goku winning when he shouldnt sound so crazy while legit every shonen MC's done that like for example Naruto against Pain, it really sounded like homeboy was biased in his explanation because not only does he says a blatant lie but also blows things out of proportion. For the VS battle, i'd really say that someone faster than Gojo should be able to screw him over because his infinity's automatic meaning that it mostly relies on his perception of things so someone faster should easily be able to blitz past it imo. Mount Rushmore one was fax, i agree with the one piece section, the hashiras could kill the titans (altough the colossal might murk them) but because of the size difference i don't see them winning and finally i'd say Ichigo should be a good sword master i mean the dude's bested centuries old captains while he's less experienced. Ichigo is actually a really seasoned swordsman, he just gets downplayed because he likes to use getsuga a lot. I would honestly put him above tanjiro and zoro, if he can battle someone who can see the future and alter it, he is a top tier swordsmen. People saying that he isn’t a swordsman only say it because of the many blade clashes and large scale attacks, if you think ichigo isn’t a swordsman then you gotta make a case for mihawk as well😂 he hasn’t done a single proper duel besides shanks and we haven’t even seen it

@@TRJ42 For Zoro, I find it fine to put him over Ichigo in pure sword skills. Zoro's ability to adapt is, at minimum, equal to Ichigo's and Zoro has more experience relying solely on his sword. Tanjiro, however... I can't see him taking the win from Ichigo. Ichigo has adapted to fighting people with multiple hundreds of years experience and has shown to easily adapt to fighting against multiple weapon types without issue. Look back at the early chapters where Ichigo was able to become somewhat relative to Urahara in terms of skill after ten days, manages to discern ways to fight around Ikkaku and Renji's unorthodox fighting styles, and keep up with Byakuya's millions of blades flying at him. Tanjiro is far too straightforward of a fighter, something Ichigo already has more than enough experience dealing with.

(13:09) Giorno has a way to damage gojo and it’s something people tend to forget about him. His normal GE ability, creating life. Any damage that gets inflicted on the life giorno creates, gets returned to the one who sent it. The damage doesn’t travel, it just appears back to the attacker, like what happened with leaky eye Luca. In theory, Gojo uses hollow purple, giorno creates a tree in the way, gojo gets disintegrated.

Bleach is so much more influential than people give it credit for. It has influenced alot of popular anime today, with its biggest contributor being JJK. Gege has stated multiple times how much Kubo and Bleach inspired him, and you can see similarities between Bleach and JJK as well. JJK is arguably the best new gen series out right now.

btw on the topic of gojo vs kakashi kamui should work on infinity because kamui warps space so even if it is for a short amount of time kakashi could still use that to severely damage gojo like kakashi could kamui awa his infinity barrier and kamui his head of and RCT wouldn't work for gojo and he is dead because looking at speed feats from both of them and using calculations whether we give both a low ball or a high ball kakashi will still be much faster than gojo

20:30. The thing is, if the colossal titan is gonna fight at the same time as the other 8 titans then he will have to be transformed beforehand. Otherwise he will just wipe all of the other 8 titans, maybe the war hammer titan would have survived but I honestly doubt it. I think the real determining factor of whether or not a hashira can solo the titans is if the hashira knows the weakness of the titans. Also if the hashira knows that it needs to strike the nape, if yes then I think most hashiras would be able to decimate most of the titans pretty quickly. Like the cart and jaw would go down immediately. Female, attack and beast would be next. Armor and warhammer would be kinda hashira dependent. I doubt Mitsuri or the mist hashira (forgot his name) would be able to break their defenses. The founding titan depends in which we are talking about, if it is Erens then I doubt any hashira would be able to solo it and is it is Historias sister we are talking about then she will also go down fairly quickly. Lastly the colossal, I believe a Hashira can take it down if it is a 1v1 since he is so slow and can’t really move while emitting heat. But only in a 1v1.

Gojo is More than his domain expansion he can use it on alot of people but you gotta remember his feats that put him above a lot of characters including dragon Ball and Naruto and because of his infinity you need certain abilities to get to him you can't power through his infinity

5:33 This is... straight up false. Wrong. Incorrect. Negative. Ichigo went from not knowing what a shinigami was to going toe to toe with Byakuya within a few months. BYAKUYA; a swordsman with HUNDREDS of years of practice and experience. Bleach's situation is very similar to DBZ: held back by its animation. Just because the animation didn't (couldn't) convey the skill, doesn't mean it's not there. Ichigo is one of the most skilled and adaptable swordsmen in animanga history.

The Rushmore thing makes me think of how my mom calls every spikey-haired anime character "Goku"😁. She wouldn't recognize Ichigo, Naruto, or Luffy, and probably doesn't know Ash either. But she definitely knows Pikachu

I'm currently manga only for One Piece. It's not that I don't like the anime, because I do. I caught up with the anime after the Oden Flashback and then caught up to the manga around Franky v. Sasaki. The reason I fell off the anime is that it runs very slowly, and I don't want to dedicate the time to watch a slowed down episode of something I've already seen. I'm definitely interested in seeing what the new anime does with the series. I hope they see it through to the end.

I mean, you have to remember that Ichigo has a lot of experience fighting against swordsmen with literally hundreds of years behind them. He is shown to be able to read and adapt to their fighting styles and pick up the skill to hang with them at a very raid pace. I agree to a point that Ichigo isn't necessarily a 'swordsman' by definition... but even if you equal stats between him and Tanjiro, restrict Ichigo from using any of his supernatural abilities, and ignore the whole 'soul' thing, I still don't think Tanjiro is beating him. Tanjiro is pretty straightforward with his sword skills, something Ichigo has more than enough experience fighting against from characters that are far better than him.

18:06, Dragon Ball absolutely holds up to today's standards with the exception of some flaws like some of the side cast being done dirty characterization wise and anime pacing. It's still a top 5 Shonen and is 0% percent carried by nostalgia, I didn't watch it as a kid but fairly late so I would know, and the manga is even better.

nostalgia definitely carries it for a lot of ppl it just depends on who you’re talking to honestly. and i don’t think it holds up for todays standards at all. at least in terms of plot and writing. put dbz against a plot like Attack on Titan, Death Note, or even Vinland Saga i think dbz pales in comparison story wise tbh
