I've been buying fountain pens only recently. I've always thought I'd NEVER want to spend an outrageous amount of money on what's, when all is said and done, a simple writing instrument. That's how I felt until you premiered this video. Note: I am an Artist who has set flowers on Klimt's grave. So, yes - I need to stop wasting my money on silly things like food, heat, and electricity. . . so I can own this brilliant example of the pen maker's Art! Best wishes from Vermont 🍁

It's one of the most brilliantly crafted objects I've ever seen. It's rare for a luxury item - designed to honor an Artist - to look as if the Artist had designed it, himself. Best wishes from Vermont 🍁

Samuel this is one of the best videos on fountain pens I've watched (and I'm an avid watcher), not only because of how well you present the two pens' appearance but also on how knowledgeable you are about Gustav Klimt's oevre. I happen to be very familiar with the artist and his life, so I can tell that Montblanc has captured the essence of Klimt's art in the two versions of this pen.

As a lover of Montblanc products I like and appreciate the Masters of the Art pens from them. I would think they will pretty much stay at home to be used, if used at all. I don't feel they are a pen one would carry on a daily basis, they are for collectors only.. Maybe that is what Montblanc has in mind for these anyway.

Yes from the Description i have it’s Platinum Plated Barrel and 18k Solid Yellow Gold Elements.
