They did. If you go to the lifeproof website there is a new package for 129$ if I'm not mistaken and it have the glass screen protector. Is the Nuud + Screen protector.

I have the 6s nuud case and no scratches and I’ve dropped it a couple times still brand new, along with the glass is stronger then a six s so if your a regular person your going to be fine endless Your in a hard working job. Kudos to nuud didn’t think I would like but way better then the other lifeproof.

For any surface I don't want fingerprints and smudges, be it Cell Phones or firearms, I use Renaissance Micro-Crystalline Wax Polish (Ren Wax). I apply at least three thin coats. I often apply five or six coats, since I find it fun to apply. It dries very fast so buff to a shield almost immediately after applying. Very little Ren Wax goes a long way, so less is more. The Royal Museum of England uses Ren Wax to protect their valuable items. I hope you find this useful.

A company called Teqii produces a glass screen protector for the Lifeproof Nuud. I have one for my 6s; works fantastic! They have versions for all iPhones from the 7/7 Plus back to the 5s/5c/5 and SE.

Definitely some interesting changes with this year's version of the NÜÜD Case. I'm a little bummed that Lifeproof didn't include the optional scratch protector like they did with the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus although i personally probably wouldn't use it. Nice video BTW.

Thanks, Payton. It is a very nice case, but I do wish that LifeProof was doing something to address potential scratch hazards for the screen. I never actually used the plastic screen protector that came with my iPhone 6s Plus NUUD, but it was great to know that it was there...

Why is the front raised so much near the home button? I just purchased this case its shipping still. Does it make it hard for thumbprint scanning? I also have acrylics on most of the time and that would be really frustrating.

Aww :( . I just added this to my Amazon cart but I didn't realize that the screen isn't protected. I love everything about this EXCEPT that. If I could find a case that was a cross between the Otterbox Defender (3 layer) and this design, I would be SO happy. Ugh.

I'm getting one for my 7, just waiting til they have a holiday or event where I can get it for less than full price lol. Also concerned that the light blue color will start to look dirty with time

I think that the lighter colors of rubber are more vulnerable to showing grime over time...just like lighter colored clothing! The blue and black versions of this case are probably the safest in that regard. As for sales, I believe that LifeProof has a 10% off sale going on right now for Valentine's Day... I have not, but I'm not a great person to ask about long term usage and wear and tear, because my cases don't get used very heavily...

Great honest review as usual...but this case is a no go for me. The hard to depress buttons, the chintzy mute button, and the fingerprints on the back are too many compromises for a $$ case.

I got one free with a used iPhone 7 Plus I bought on eBay. The guy gave me a lot of cases and I couldn’t figure out what that one was and thought it was a generic thing. 😄

Unfortunately, all waterproof cases have some effect on the sound from your phone. It is due to the waterproofing. It shouldn't be a huge effect, however--if it is, than perhaps you have a defective case. Have you tried contacting LifeProof?

I loved the fre on my iPhone 7 plus but after a couple of months dust was able to get under the screen so I'm considering this. Has anyone else had this issue?

I'm so sorry to hear it! My guess is that it must be getting in during charging?

I actually like back of the previous generation Nuud better. With the rubberized strips on the top and bottom, the clear plastic never actually touches the the table tops when the phone is set down, and is therefore less likely to scratch. Additionally, I'm confused about the water test of a water proof case that is on an already water proof phone. What results would you expect?

You are right about the scratch protection in the old NUUD design compared with the new one. That is a definite drawback. As far as the waterproof test, it just proves that the case itself is watertight. There would be very little point of going to the trouble of having a waterproof case if it wasn't water tight. And as to why you need a waterproof case for a waterproof phone, the NUUD case gives you twice the waterproof protection of the phone itself (1 hour at 2 meters vs 30 minutes at 1 meter).

Never was a lifeproof fan. Or really had the need. But I actually like this one. Only I stuck with my 6s Plus. The 7 wasn't enough for me to change. I'm debating on waiting for the 8. Or maybe switching to an android But I would finally use a lifeproof case if it's looks like this!!! Plus. I like my glass screen protectors!

They should work on the speakers for the waterproof. I know it muffles on the Fre and the nuud the music speakers are quieter. Apple has improved the speakers, why buy a case that makes it worse.

+John Holland This year, they have definitely made some improvements. The sound is better on the NUUD and even better on the FRE. It's tricky, though!

They come with a glass screen protector now but you'll have to pay extra for it

Had the fre, hated the plastic screen protector. Exchanged for the nuud today. Not disappointed.

If you all are looking for a tempered glass screen protector. Check Teqii out. They are cut to fit for the Nuud's. I had one for my 6+ Nuud, worked great. TechReviewer! I have an extra if you would like to try it on the 7+ Nuud. The dimensions should be close enough between the two.

Wow, hard to say. Lot of personal preference there! Most things go nicely with black, though. Pale pinks and purples not so much, but most other colors look good, in my opinion...

I think it depends upon why you want a waterproof case. If it is because you want to take your phone to the beach, then I would definitely go with the FRE. Sand is a major scratch hazard: you need that screen protection. However, if you don't need screen protection against scratching so much and you mostly want a waterproof case in case you happen to accidentally drop your phone in the toilet, then maybe the NUUD is a better choice :)

You really need to get the proper 8 Plus case for the 8 Plus when you are dealing with a waterproof case. Otherwise you might be very sorry when your waterproof protection fails...

You can certainly contact LifeProof--you may have gotten a defective one. That much said, the NUUD cases have quite good audio quality for waterproof cases, but they aren't as good as the FRE and they aren't as good as a non waterproof case. It is a question of tradeoffs...

I buy very few of them. Generally, the manufacturers send samples such as this to me to review. As for what I do with them...the answer is not much. I have large piles of cases sitting about. I switch among them for fun, and my friends and family tend to have very nice cases for their phones :)

LifeProof cases, like other waterproof cases, are very version specific. It is important to get the version that is designed for your phone model--otherwise, it might not be properly waterproof....

I have a matte black 7 Plus, the same as you see in the reviews, and for day to day use, I switch among a variety of my favorite slim protective cases with grip: OtterBox Symmetry Clear, Speck Presidio Grip, Tech21 Evo Tactical, UAG Monarch, Evutec Selenium...to name a few...

With LifeProof, you need to be super careful to buy the exact version for your iPhone, as small differences can affect the waterproofing of the case...

I'd be scared to get scratches on my screen though :(

Well, it is definitely a concern, particularly if you take your phone to the beach. If you don't go for a NUUD+ Alpha Glass combination, you should probably consider the FRE, with its built in screen protector...

I returned this within 24 hours. The clear back was too prone to scratches and finger prints

There is a very tight seal around the edges so no water gets in. Obviously the water is going to touch the glass on the screen of the phone, but it won't hurt the phone unless it gets into the interior of the phone...

The NUUD effectively doubles the amount of water resistance it has. The plain iPhone, no case, can be submerged for 30 minutes for 1 meter. The NUUD will allow you to submerge it for 2 meters for 60 minutes...

While the NUUD is not as good as the FRE in terms of sound quality, I wouldn't characterize it as horrible in any way. However, it has improved in later phone versions. What iPhone version are you using?

Did you do actual tests in real world situations or just read out what we already know albeit that little bucket of water.. The plastic screen protector have only caused more scratches to the phone if you use it often on the beach and cause you to have minuscule rocks on your wiping cloth. Tiny grain of salt on the rubber gaskets is no good news for waterproofing. They wear em down if the case is not flushed properly after used. Naked screen is best against the Fré when on the water and have no sensitivity issues with cold fingers. My 2 yrs experience with previous Nüud.

Good question! The FRE and the NUUD double the water resistance of the iPhone 7 line. The 7 and 7 Plus are water resistant to 1 meter for 30 minutes. The FRE and NUUD double the time and depth to 60 minutes for 2 meters. Thanks for watching!

iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are good for 30 minutes for up to one meter in depth. LifeProof NUUD and FRE will protect for up to 2 meters for one hour. Big difference in protection...

Good point, the iPhone 7 is the first iPhone to be water resistant. The iPhone 7 has an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of 67, meaning it can be submerged in up to 1 meter of water for a maximum of 30 minutes. The LifeProof NÜÜD extends the water resistant rating to IP68, allowing the iPhone to be submerged in up to 2 meters of water for a maximum of 60 minutes.
