I still have my original I bought from Tower Hobbies in the 1990s on a shelf in my garage. Mine is the nitro version with a .21 engine. I still have the original box it came in also. I have had a blast with it through the years.

Thank you it is pretty capable. It looks more capable in your hands 😂 The only problem I find is the steering servo is weak and the turning circle is big. Totally loving it though. 🙏⚡️

Every RC car I had ever purchased all the way back to the early 90s, always had weak steering. That was always my first upgrade.

I used a quarter scale servo in my USA-1 nitro and it solved the steering issues.

Compare to any other monster truck on the market besides an lmt and it boogies. Pretty sweet even if it needs a servo to make it right. I spent loads on a custom smt 10, really before there was much else in the shafty market. I need one. Anybody want to buy a no prep drag car? I need this

I like it, looks awesome and seems to be a great alternative for the LMT.

What i like about it is.after you break it..it'll look awsome untill its fixed..lol

I'm not sure the sz of the steering servo ! Maybe use 32kg or a 35kg if you plan on doing 4 wheel steering upgrade. Nice run & rig. 💯🔥👍

Yes the steering servo is weak I’ve ordered the 4ws kit and will have to get a better servo.

Just buy a good, strong front servo, and put the front one in the back. ZOSKAY 35kg high Torque Coreless Motor servo Metal Gear Digital and Stainless Steel Gear servo arduino servo for Robotic DIY,RC car (Control Angle 270°) on Amazon for $32. They are cheap, but with a good servo saver like a Treal Aluminum 7075 Servo Saver Set 25T for LMT Monster (Black), also on Amazon for around $30,you should be good to go. I'm not exactly sure what type of Servo saver the Kyosho USA-1 Needs though... 🤦

It is, first impressions are it’s pretty durable. Time will tell.

I want one of those so bad, but the only thing that stops me is the chain drive. I can’t imagine that thing holding up to bashing especially after gearing it up and putting a different esc/motor combo in it. I know Vitavon makes some axels and links for it, which I’m good with, but that chain drive is what scares me there.

you could just drive it around and have fun, you dont have to smash them all to bits every time you take one out you know lol, it's a monster truck, it's not made for bashing, it's made to drive around and pop off some jumps and scoot around the dirt in, it has solid axles, any "bashing" you do with it, chain drive or otherwise will eat all the gears up in the diffs anyways, real monster truck owners have to rebuild their truck every day because it's only purpose is to be ridiculous, absurd, which this truck def is :) i personally think this type of truck limits to type of rc owner, i'm getting one because i wont have any issues driving it and having lots of fun without launching it over a house or racing it out in front of the car like a stupid ape.

The chain drive trans is the most durable thing out there, which is why it hasn’t changed since the original mad force 20 years ago. I have multiple versions of this truck and beat the hell out of them (except for U.S.A. 1…. The body is too nice). You will never break the chain. Going faster than stock however will make it in even bigger handful than these already are on 4s. Just sharing some experience on my favorite rc platform :)

Nitro version is the real version...and u no this man's..

Expensive

as long as it lands on all 4 wheels every time it'll do lots of bashing but you land funny one time, everything will snap off, wheels and robs and stuff will pop off all over the place, they are to heavy

Those stock wheels are too low profile. Some original Tmaxx 2.5 chevrons would rip

Hi there it’s a 4s zop power from Banggood nice and cheap and seams to work ok.

Be carefull with the solid plastic🤦‍♂️ axels,,they snap easily if the truck hit in the wrong way..its not a basher at all
