THE NEW KING OF PUSHROD SWAPS? - The Aftermarket Is Quickly Getting Behind The GODZILLA CRAZE!

Ойын-сауық

Ford has an answer for those who want big pushrod power! IMO the GODZILLA 7.3 will be the go-to engine swap for Ford owners as prices drop and availability grows. LMR has swap parts in stock right now! And it will only continue to grow in the future!

This is one of my ultimate set-ups. I have a fully built 64 galaxie that's sitting on a stretched 03 Vic frame. It is currently running just Vic running gear. But a Godzilla with a 10r80 would be my dream set up. The nice thing is my Vic frame set up gives me lots of options for putting down some power.

The 7.3 is a decent swap for a truck that needs some pulling power or maybe an old big body Ford. But for anything meant to make power, you're better off going with a 351w or a 460. It'd be cheaper to make the same or more power. Hell you'd be better off with a coyote instead in any application where the 7.3 could be swapped into.

Why not just put a 427 and call it a day, the 427 straight from the Ford parts catalog comes already built and you can get one with 525 hp or one north of 600 hp. The Godzilla engine is a dog in stock form and in order to get some real good horsepower you have to take the whole engine out put pistons, a camshaft, and get the cylinder heads worked on in order to put out some serious horsepower. Why not just go with a 351. I just don’t get why everybody is so obsessed with this Godzilla engine. If you do a coyote swap you can do more with that engine and you don’t have to open up the engine to get the power out of it. Just bolt on a blower, have it tuned and the Godzilla will not even compare to that engine. Like I said I don’t get why everybody is obsessed with this Godzilla engine, it’s OK for a truck but for a car I think it is well over rated and there are better options out there

It will never be the "king" of anything. This will be just like anything else cool that Ford has made, hard to find and hoarded.

The LS is the King of pushrod swaps. Especially in Fox body Ford Mustangs. At least for now.
