I asked my local shop to bring one of these in last week for me. I’m really hoping it’s there today. This looks like a great upgrade over the V1 Max 5!!! I still can’t believe they made the Max 5 12s capable and 250 continuous amps! Great detailed review Joe. I can’t wait to see this running! That Kraton is going to be crazy!!! 👊👊👍👍

I've been running the 56118 1100kv on the max6 g2 with no problems so far in my Kraton 8s

Thank you as always for your content . I ordered a max 4 and then the max 5G2 due too the $$ and size for weight saving in my K8S

The issue with a stock K8s could be that added motor length. Not sure yet.

Wow those max 5 G2 look beautiful. I sold my new max 5 G1 and 1100KV to get this stuff. Yeah good luck with that 800KV I hope it fits in the kraton well 👍. Try the 1100KV first I know they fit much better and those really need 1100KV from my experience. But yeah you got more wight in her so I get it.

I’m putting one in my scx6 with the 650kv. Just waiting for it to come in to see what all needs to be done

Just bought the 1100kv Combo and hope to try 800kv at a later date on my outcast 8s

The amp rating is just wild, hopefully just for fractions of a second! I mean it must be quick or those wires would glow red ,,

Great video what did the max 5 g2 punch setting come on punch 5?

I’m like the only person that had two new g2 catch on fire in my Kratin 6s. Hobby wing replaced the first one and then that one caught on fire. Idkn why I’m having such bad luck with the g2 esc

I’m looking at building at 5ive T 2.0 (mainly 8s) will run a lot of 12 also though. Looking to achieve at least 75mph. Is this the way to go or should I go a different direction?

Thanks, Joe, I needed that. I have a Max4/560kv in my Gravedigger, a Max5/800kv in my MTXL Gravedigger LCG, and 8 other Max5/800s in various Kratons, Xmaxxes, XRTs, and Outcasts. Now doing a Outcast EXB 1/2 price beater. I have an XLX2 and a Castle sensored 800. If you were me , would you hold out for a Max5 G2? Given I have quite a few CNHL 9500s 6s lunkers in the gun safe.

This is too big. You’d want the Max8G2 for that

We need m2c create a longer chassis for kraton. That 12s motor is way too long for Kraton 8S

Hi, just wondering whether it's possible to see the internals of the new 56118 motor? I've order inadvertently the new motor not realising it won't fit in my Kraton 8S and have a crazy idea of somehow using the bell end of the 56113 motor and making it shorter. Unfortunately I don't have the funds to buy a Vitavon chassis and I'm left in a bit of a dilemma.

Well they usually use all the space in them. You're wanting to make it fit. I currently have it in the Xmaxx right now.

@ExocagedRC I have read on the M2C website that they're currently working on a chassis that will accommodate the new G2 range of motors. Maybe, during the interim, I'll have to settle for a previous generation motor.

I can check with my Outcast but even that has an M2c chassis. It’s in my K8s but it’s a whole Different setup.

@@ExocagedRCI can confirm that it does not fit in my outcast 8s, unfortunately. Even the older motor (113mm long) just barely fits with minor sanding. The new G2 motor is 119.2mm for all 3 Kv options and there’s no way to clear the steering linkage unfortunately.

UPDATE: M2C just barely released a new bell crank so that you can fit these new g2 motors is all arrma 8s

Agreed, seems like they would have thought about all those sales before designing the new version. That said, M2C just released (literally today) a new bell crank that allows this motor to fit in all arrma 8s! Still sucks you can’t fit it without modification though

So it definitely wont fit in Kraton 8s?

I thought the lower the kv2 more of the alike low in crawl you want higher KV for fast
