The New Ham Shack of G0SEC, finally Completed!!
Ғылым және технология
A quick video of my new shack completed. I hope this gives other hams some ideas from what I have done myself. The desk was built by myself and took about 16 months to complete due to an illness I have but I was determined to do a little on it each day when I could to get it all finished.
I will do some more videos in the future of how I built it all as I took videos and pictures from start to finish.
Hope you like my video folks
73's for now

I really am impressed at the engineering that went into your shack. Impressive how all of your equipment fits into their cubby holes, the zones for sound, radio, power/antenna. The balance of placement and wire management for all of the ancillary components. The clean installation of your tower. Placement of clocks and dual use monitors are brilliant. We have all seen some great shacks. Your shack sir, is the pinnacle of anything I have ever seen on the tube.
Incredible - looks great - well done!
Wow...... things that I couldn't even dream of having. What a beautiful, and amazing setup! Thanks for the tour!

Nice shack thanks for showing us round.
A thumb up for the intro and another for the whippet. Nice shack, very tidy indeed. It's like the dream shack but only real.
Being a audio nut first and a ham 2nd, I enjoyed the visit to your shack, thank you... excellent use of the dbx, love the weather station...
What an amazing radio setup you have there. Oh, and you appear to have neat little garden too.👍
Hi James wow that shack is amazing mate nice to hear from you and I’m glad you feeling better in your health welldone on the shack it’s took a long time but well worth it 73s James and all the best buddy enjoy and thanks for the video really enjoyed it

We are the Borg… This is just stunning… way way beyond me. Best wishes. 💙
Wow absolutely awesome
Absolutely beautiful, waving from my tech bench. 73👋🏻
I hope to goodness that you have a very good fire supression/warning set up. Congratulations on your stellar effort.
Very impressive. Beyond me all that Technology. Recently got back into Radio. Most of my old kit was valves. All sold years ago. My pension doesnt stretch far these days so gone minimalist with QRP making stuff from scrap. Love the aerials. For me speaker wire and a home made vertical from a garden table plastic leg as a former for the coil. Cheers from old George ( mick) G1BKI 🤠👍🇬🇧
Hi, James. I follow you since you began your chanel. Congratulations for this update. Glad to know that you are doing fine. 73, de ct3ny.
Good choice in power supplies, I have the exact same units from Daiwa. The station looks top notch.
Great setup !
Wow, very well done
Geez mate, your radio shack and your equipment is amazing!!! You are a smart guy to know how to interconnect all that equipment. Well done mate!
I have a neighbor who has a basement woodshop, I'll bet all I'd have to do it buy the materials and he'll do the rest !! AWESOME!!
Definitely the best layout I've seen.
Nice to see you back on KZread great video on the Ham Shack

Very impressive!
Wow just a very big WOW 😮 the shack of what dreams are made of. Amazing, WOW. Hope you get well/better soon. Thank you for sharing. I’ve got to say it again WOW. 🤤 73’s to you and family 🤙🤙🤙 M7COV
Inspiration...very nice, thx.
Among all these fancy equipment, I am most fascinated with his Baofeng UV-82 dual band VHF/UHF analog handheld transceiver, which is to the right end of the desk, and G0SEC was just too modest to showcase it. I am just kidding. Very nice video and thanks for sharing. 73
Glad you're back... Nice set up
One word. Wow. Inspiration for my own shack. Love the desk.

Yea thanks, I built the desk myself it's very heavy duty. It took ages.
Amazing! I was wondering what had happened to you. Glad to see you are still on the bands. All the best, John 2E0SVB.
Lovely shack love the grey bench and shelving, also great cable management, the shack would look even better with a flex installed..LOL ..M0PAW
Amazing , it's the best set up I've ever seen .
Wow! Impressive! 👍🏻
Must admit that's the nicest layout i think I've ever seen, very impressive.
Martin Lynch must love you,. Just look at all that state of the art stuff you have, I wonder what it will look like in 5 years time ? With all that stuff you would hear stations that very few hams would hear.. Thanks for letting me see inside your showroom..
incredible job sir
Great looking ham radio shack James, Outstanding!!! California. KN6BZG
WOW! I'm speechless. 🤯👍
You have a Golden Opportunity to leave a legacy of a world-renowned "The Ham Shack Golden Standard", how many folks are screen capturing and downloading your transcript to capture your amazing efforts? Challenge: Document with schematic, block diagram and P/N (user should do the leg work to invest themselves). Thank you for all the years of effort for our enjoyment.
very nice setup good work
Wow freaking amazing shack
Stunning, a work of art and a credit to your hard work, Chris 2E0ILY, Shropshire.
Your shack is fantastic. All of the shacks in your videos are fantastic. I moved a couple of months ago and still haven't finished the shack or putting up all the antennas. I want to put up at satellite antenna at least for RX. My main radio is a Yaesu FT-847 which has satellite functions. Nice to see another video from you. I wish you well. 73 DE KK6FVP
Outstanding…!!! Thank you…
James, Fantastic job ! Very impressive indeed, i love the icom radios too, i have a 7600 , 7400 and a 7100, i also have a Kenwood ts 950 SD whichj i have owned since 2001...Great job 73! de G4UNB
Hang in there Ham Shack man. You will eventually graduate to a full Ham Shack with all of the nifty toys. I remember when I only had a few gadgets. I am also sorry you received a severely bent monitor. It seems to be working, though. Give yourself a few more years and keep saving those pennies...you will get there. Cheers mate.
Very nice, A lot of work and Money
Incredible - i`m speechless.....55+73 from Germany
Insane, one of the best I've seen.
I have been made absolutely speechless by this entire shack..everything in it. Simply stunning. 73, KN4UNO
Beautiful shack
Excellent 👌👌👌🍾🥂
Wowwwww, wowwww and wowww again! I'm just drooling 😀😀😀
Nice looking shack. You need a beautiful begali key on the desk and maybe an az el rotor for linear sats.
Hi James Iv followed all your shack build videos and I have to say it looks awesome now it’s finished 👌hopefully maybe have a qso one day 🎙I don’t live very far from you I’m in Somerset 73…
Absolutely amazing shack!! Hope to make a contact one day with you. 73
As a newbie this is pretty wild. I talked to a guy in Austria the other day though with my 991a and a homemade dipole antenna so I’m happy. Very fun hobby but very daunting
Suggestion: Put a black piece of paper on the wall to the right of the globe and the results will be much better. Beautiful shack set-up!

I will test this to see
It must have took a lot of planning and and hard work to get to this point. Absolutely outstanding! But I sure wish I could’ve had a better look at the force 12 and the rest of you aluminum sculpture in the sky. Best to 73s W5PN
James, This really is an amazing set up. Perhaps, on top of everything else that you’ve done here, you might put together a bit of a blueprint or schematic so that we can see what’s here in your ham shack. Not so much to copycat it, but just to get an idea of the different types of equipment that you’re running. It truly is phenomenal how much thought you put into this, and all the hours that went into construction of this wonderful workstation. 73 to you.
I hide from my wife to watch this video over and over again, she thinks I see girls in bikinis or something lol If I win the lottery, could I call you to do the same at my house? hi hi hi The radio room you have built for yourself is truly incredible. I have a healthy envy of you. Thank you for the video and for the ideas you give us. I have taken note of many things that you have mounted there. Enjoy it in health. A cordial hug.
Fantastic
Great setup, would you mine providing a list of parts, the radios are obvious, but all the other supporting electronic pieces, which you have so beautifully mounted and in such perfect order.

Excellent as ever James...its took a while but by god it was worth the wait. I was quite happy with my little set up until i saw yours ! LOL.....Hopefully catch you somewhere on the bands...Take care mate...Mark m0mco
Wow! That's a SHACK!
You've clearly gone where no amateur station has ever gone before. Wowsie is a good operational word here! You're clearly ready for intergalactic communication with anyone that may be out there. This is really what a "ham shack" should look like. Bravo on what you've done. I could watch this demo all day. Has ARRL or RSGB seen this - if not, they certainly need to do so. Worthy of a front cover as well as a feature article. Best 73 to you - W2FKN

While certainly nicely done, this shack certainly isn't that unusual. It's just equipment in a custom desk. Yeesh.

So this is what jealousy feels like. As a bonafide tech junkie, I appreciate how much effort you applied to this project. Not only are you using top-tier equipment, the attention to detail with your blueprint layout it’s remarkably ergonomic. It gave me some great ideas, so thanks for posting.
Hi, I've been following you on KZread watching this whole project and was wondering just last week how was you getting on with this. Very nice shack love what you have done with it, glad you feel a little better. Keep up the good work
