The new HAKKO FT-720 Tip Cleaner provides quick and effective cleaning of soldering iron tips with sensor activated counter-rotating brushes, which remove tip oxides, debris, and excess solder without damaging the tip plating.
The FT-720 is equipped with long life fluoroplastic brushes that minimize temperature drop of soldering iron. The brushes are easy to remove and replace, with optional resin and metal cleaning brushes available.

I love my Hakko FX888 and FA430 but I really don't want teflon or any other flouronated materials in my life.

seems so pointless....cleaning with brass mesh does not take more than a second or two!

I felt the same way until I used an earlier model at work, it makes a big difference.

@@AA-xm7rt it's been a long time, but I think it has plastic bristles. My current one has brass but no auto switch which makes it a bit harder to use.
