Hugely popular in Australia. A very long wait time for delivery but I've got my order in for a V6 diesel for caravan towing. Can't wait! The scenery looks similar to Australia. Spain I presume.

I have the Ranger myself but without the electric cover over the back, I have the manual cover. One problem that I face during wintertime is that it freezes up.. Wonder if they have done something to prevent that on this version or do you really face ruining the mechanism if you try to electrically open this when frozen.

I really wished we in the states could get that diesel option! I'd buy it today if the diesel option was available! Never mind the raptor model, just put the diesel in the standard ranger and I'd be good to go.

I just traded in my BMW G30 520 d M Sport for the new Raptor (I live in Thailand). It beats the BMW 97-3 out of 100 variables, and is half the price of the BMW!! I am so happy. :-) :-0!

My wife has always had some version of Landrover to drive and tow horse boxes. When I say always we are talking back to about 1970. She is a farmer’s daughter and it is simply unthinkable that any other sort of vehicle can do on road and off road and towing properly for her. On Friday (yesterday) I sat at lunch with a couple of colleagues each of whom had had reason to go to separate Landrover dealerships (in the UK West Midlands) and both independently reported that they were told that they might be allowed some sort of Landrover in about eighteen months time - supply chain problems you know. This reminds me of the late 1960s and nearly 1970s when my stepfather owned a small car dealership which represented then state owned BMC. He was allowed just 8 cars a year to sell. He managed to switch to Ford who gave him enough cars and far better cars to sell in about 1974. Back to the present and Landrover round here has nothing to sell my wife immediately who needs to change a Landrover Discovery Sport this year or possibly next. This Ford review was a revelation to me about Ford’s now off road credentials and is definitely on the list for a Discovery replacement. Given we have fallen into the heresy of considering something other than Landrover, a Ford off road is definitely in the frame, something we would not have considered as little as six months ago. Landrover has since the start of this century, if not before, started to go sissy. A Defender is no longer something for working farmers, soldiers, or forest workers but something the young might be seen around Town in Chelsea (London). My wife’s 2016 Discovery Sport is positively luxurious but still just about does off road properly. Landrover has lost its raisin d’etre for people like us. The Ford Raptor has to be under consideration especially if I can persuade my wife to watch this review. If we want to stick with something with proper Landrover ethos - as was - we must consider Jim Ratcliffe’s Ineos Grenadier which is expensive but the real thing. The Grenadier may have all kinds of shortcomings but it clearly does off road properly and has a UI/UX which is pure joy to anyone who hates capacitive nonsense, designer fluffy interiors, or anything other than a real retro Landrover used to have. An unthinkable alternative if we could convince ourselves of its off-road capability in extremis would be something like the Mazda CX60 I take delivery of next /Thursday. I find it sad that Landrover have managed to put themselves in a position where we would simply have bought another one, but instead are considering a Ford, Grenadier, or Mazda. BTW, Thomas and team may we have more than one detailed Grenadier reviews? The Grenadier is doing something which other marques are not and deserves consideration. It is some way in concept from anything built in the UK, Germany, Japan, or anywhere else.

Bloody spell checker has interfered with what I wrote. Raisin d’etre instead of raison d’etre is one I have picked up and there may be others. I am more or less literate but spell checker reduces me to a teenager on social media.

I've seen one of them cause traffic. It couldn't fit in a city 2 way traffic street without the other vehicles moving out of the way. The driver's ego never felt so good that day. 😂

Actually is 3.0. Same engine like the one at Australia & southeast Asia. Locked @ 288hp for Europe, but will be remapped (by ford) to deliver 394hp. I am waiting for the 2.0 diesel vesrion thought ;-)

4:08 Nice and soft for the little bumps, firm and stiff for the big stuff. Edit: 11:00 as far as I know, 4A is rwd until wheel slip, then it activated the front. 4H is fine for on road driving.

4A is automatic control indeed 4H is that defo the front wheels are also used, while Baja driving, the car felt way stiffer as for the centre differential. I will re-consider mit engineers at the Amarok driving event see what they say

But shouldn't the front diff lock enable automatically when required?

Do the matrix led ACTUALLY work ? Not like Teslas ?

I really want this ranger raptor but Norway is forcing everyone to drive electric so we will need to pay close to 100.000 us dollars for this pickup and then it's just two seats if you want the back seats in you need to pay another tax to the government which is around 60,000 usd but now they are also putting extra taxes on the electric cars

Will the regular Ranger come to Europe?

This Ranger is just about the right size...I can;t get it how the full F150 Raptor would handle proper off roading. It's just too big.

Wenn ich die Verarbeitung im Innenraum sehe, dann bekomme ich die Krise. Ein absoluter Traum von einem Auto und innen einfach nur billig, billig, billig. Ford wird es nie lernen, sehr schade! Ich hatte ernsthaftes Interesse, aber für den Preis verlange ich einfach ein ordentliches Interieur.

290hp from a twin-turbo V6 doesn’t sound terribly impressive. Assume the torque is more relevant…

What off road opportunities are available in Europe? In North America we have plenty of wilderness and minimally regulated places to use a vehicle like this, but I imagine Europe has relatively few such locations? Most of these trucks see little true off-road use so I don’t think it’s really necessary, just curious.

High density population in Spain, for instance, happens only on major cities and the coast. Most of our territory is basically empty. This could make sense in isolated rural areas if size is not a problem for parking or drive around an old town with narrow roads.

@@roderick_yang then whoever responded is wrong, of course you don't need a offroad park to find ways to use your vehicle offroad. Plus, size-wise, it really depends on the age of the area you live at or if there have been efforts to modernize it. My city, for example, has been doing a effort to extend and enlarge their roads since the 1990s, so obviously to me, this truck would fit pretty .much anywhere in my county, and I would have a lot of off-road use for it.

@@baronvonjo1929 Don't get those in the UK, well bar the Mustangs. If you go back to the 80s/90s/00s you had multiple XR/RS/Cosworth/ST models running at the same time. I've only ever owned Fords and the state of their offerings at the minute is not great.

I get it because I live country side and I often have to carry stuff needed for my house etc. I will also use it to carry my motorcycle to remote locations where I can do trail riding/light motocross. With it being off-road capable really opens up much more the locations I could reach.

Any Electric Truck is trash in comparison.
