This map will have some really cool scenarios and orbx are pro's so its only going to get better!

Not entirely related to the map itself but what I really found cool was how they launched this product, just an annoucement one week before, no endless preorders, delays and trying to hype up their product for months upon months, they just straight up released the thing with a week's notice. Now perhaps they could've waited a bit longer but still, I'd consider it's current state good enough for the launch.

Strongly suspect this map was rushed out WAY ahead of schedule to try and inject some cash flow after the Razbam debacle. The map looks really unfinished, especially for 150GB. Its 2.5x as big as Syria and looks nowhere near as good.

@madaxe606 yeah, you might be very well right, I hate what's happening with RAZBAM atm, and I don't doubt ED might want to rush things, just like their Chinook pre-order when they can't even share the fucking early access features list, or when they can't even finish logistic in time for the choppers release. I tried the map and it looked fine though the 150gb seem a bit excessive and yeah, Syria is on another level of quality, you're right about that.

The Tirpitz was sunken near the city of Tromsø (which is not added to the game yet) between bodø and Lakselv

@@Serbokrat Then it would be more correct to say "sunken near the city of Tromsø". The way it is written here it looks like a direct translation from Norwegian and then it becomes a bit wonky in English as in Norwegian you would write "senket ved Tromsø" and that directly word for word is "sunk by Tromsø". Thing is that translation does not work very well as it makes it unclear if you are talking about the entity that sunk the ship or the place it sunk. So to remove this confusion you instead should translate "senket ved Tromsø" as " sunken near Tromsø" as it makes it clear you are talking about where something happened rather than who did something.

hey devil when you click on stuff in the F10 map and then hit the corresponding button for that type (f2 for planes, f7 ground, f11 runways, etc) it takes your cam straight there without having to cycle through

These guys know how to do a release.. say it coming, then actually release it straight after.. no fuss.. well done. Others Devs take note. Will wait a while before purchasing though.

I love flying rotary, so gonna hold off on this map until the terrain gets a bit of a leg up. Look cool from high up tho!

This would be a great map is they could develop actual ASW aircraft and gameplay.

Hope they add more textures to Alta too! atleast ann airports and some buildings. you can simulate the first attack on tirpitz there! in Kåfjord :)

You are missing Banak, Bardufoss and Evenes airfields in Norway. Had a lot of fun with your fellow Marines on NATO exercises at Evenes back in the late late nineties.

Make sure you have something to do while it downloads. 154 gigs at 64 mb is insane. They need better servers.

Look this map is for high altitude combat...

microsoft flight simulator looks way better, but DCS is 80% good enough, its about the combat, uninstalled MFS after 12h, bc there is nothing to do really after you explored everything you wanted to explore

Nice so many maps but still broken ATC.

When I was there around.. mostly cover with snow and grey all times. Also tree are not like that at all, very spiky kind of pine tree something. No winter No Aurora Not realistic!!

It locks shity as fuck consider you pay for this and it is 60 bucks then you would expect better terrain and better made. it is as always flatend to mutch it tock them 2 years to make this. i would do better on 2 weeks. all terrain when it come to DCS is so low quaility made it is sick. and with all choppers in game and so on and it lock like arma cold war assult in the grafic make the game lose so mutch players. all this idea of ppl need to run the maps on there computers in singel player and so on makes the quality way to bad. i would like to se server loaded maps insted and foucus on the ppl that wanna play online and not singel player folks. cous all flight outside of VR in DCS locks shity as fuck
