I hope I dont come across as dim but I'm looking into mpk knees and the different feet that will suit me best. I have always had socket problems. I'm an above knee amputee. When looking into the other mpk's I have been told I will have to keep my old socket but with the c leg I get fitted with a new socket. Is the C Brace the socket or the knee. The socket in this video looks so great, perfect. My prosthesis will be funded through the NHS. I'm so excited about a new knee and foot but the socket I have is dreadful it feels like it sucks the life out of me the silicone liner is always drenched when I take it off as I'm always busy and try to stay as active as possible. I know I sound like I'm complaining, but I so want to get this right. I dont have insurance or didn't get any compensation after my accident, and I have had to prove myself "worthy" enough to get a prosthesis. Im really so grateful that I get given this opportunity to get closer to a somewhat 'normal' life. I have this one chance with the NHS to get the setup best for me. Any replies I will be so grateful for

It is the concept of ' giving up' that is incorrect and controlling. How dare you offer an order, a directive, a push to the Physically Challenged and Disabled who have a determination because they are Physically Challenged and Disabled. ' Don't give up is said my people who do NOT have an appreciation of what it is to be Physically Challenged and Disabled lol. Better to offer encouragement and simply say - Keep Moving.

Is this device Suggested for a post polio syndrome..? If it is, all this technology is available in all your branches? Specifically, in Mexico city?

This part is and was a big mistake for me. I have polio. In my case I could not walk more then 800 meters downhill, after this distance the C Brace gets overheated, and I have to stop and wait until temperature gets down. Imagine a long hill several stops alarms it's a disaster. Walking hill up the Orthese is to heavy and gives me no advantage in comparison to a normal Orthese. Several times the hydraulic was broken. I had multiple contact with Otto Bock without any result. Big disappointment. Cost in Germany are more then 50 Tsd Euro. Everybody should really make a test for more the 4 weeks if this expensive part gives any advantage.

My orthotic Dr. told me that it is nearly impossible to get insurance to pay for one.
