Hope you all enjoy this composition! When I said I was done being a content creator, I very specifically said I was done doing my video game jazz remixes - I'm still a musician, of course, and will continue to post any original music I can share. This particular project was extremely fun to work on, truly an honor to be asked to make music alongside other great musicians for Wizards of the Coast and Magic: The Gathering :)

I just rewatched with CC (Composer’s Commentary haha) and I loved it. It’s so insightful and interesting with a great tone. The pacing was great for the most part; I was able to read everything. I think you need to have this in the video because I and many others usually don’t read the description. If you were to put a message to watch with closed captions I would put it at the end of the video so people can appreciate the music the first time around and rewatch it for the commentary. As always, your work is amazing but this one is especially outstanding.

I love your covers, but I agree with your decision to produce your own music! Carlos, the Closed Captions are amazing! The insight of your commentary is great, and I loved visualizing the scene you set up to go along with the song.

Absolutely mind-blowing. It's the perfect juxtaposition between the sound of the strong, driving samarai-ese drum line and the futuristic flare of the synth koto. This piece and Zac Zinger is a match made in heaven. I am very amazed by your ability to feature such an exotic, delicate and almost poetic instrument without drowning it out in texture *AND* while keeping the drive of the piece. I have never heard the shakuhachi in such a high-energy setting, but this was definitely a remarkable first time.

Ok so a year ago I did not see myself being a fan of Magic the Gathering. A friend got me super hyped for it (and thankfully there’s the Arena app that actually eased me into everything since I’m not a nerd) and I remember that Carlos was doing some Japanese style music for it and turns out that YES, this was made for what is currently my favorite card series that they have. So glad I went full circle back to this video
