omg i know EXACTLY what you mean and you finally put what i feel into words!! i’m generally a very positive and optimistic person but my freshman year of high school was a really difficult time for me and the neighbourhood was practically all i listened to and it didnt make me get my positivity back but they really helped me just exist and be depressed and be upset and angry and it was really helpful because it helped me deal with my emotions but when i got back to being optimistic and i wasn’t depressed i couldn’t listen to them anymore or else it’d bring that mindset back. needless to say i’m in between sophomore and junior year right now and i’ve come back to them lol

The reason people say the miss the old style is because they want new music with a similar sound. They want it to be like the first time they heard Daddy Issues etc. And it’s just sad when you have the music that made you feel a certain way that you want to feel again in a new way, but can’t, it’s almost like an addiction.

hands down the greatest thing I have ever heard in my entire life. I come back to this almost every day. My favorite part is the play on words with "Paradise" "paralyze" and "Paranoid", how they sond similar and amazing lyrically, and how they're like the three extremely different stages of his addiction (the void).

ruby good question! basically everything by nirvana (my faves at the moment are all apologies, lithium, come as you are and in bloom), then stupid songs (my fave is jump around by house of pain, but also chumbawamba - tubthumping, insane in the membrane - cypress hill, jerk it out - caesars), black hole sun - soundgarden, a bunch of greenday songs (even though they're more punk, but basket case, good riddance, 21 guns are amazing), loser - beck, under the bridge - red hot chili peppers, arcade fire - everything now, everything by radiohead (karma police!!, talk show host, no surprises), toto - africa (even tho thats more 80s but its still a great song), semi-charmed life - third eye blind, and then there's just a lot of bands/songs that sound 90s that i love, for example two door cinema club - what you know, the fratellis - chelsea dagger, all time low - drugs and candy, alt-j - taro, dissolve me, all the arctic monkeys songs (fireside, mardy bum) and børns (electric love, faded heart), lana del reys stuff (cant _really_ get into her stuff tbh, but she has some songs i enjoy like diet mountain dew and blue jeans), cage the elephant - aint no rest for the wicked, true, catfish and the bottlemen - cocoon, cold war kids - restless, first, wet - dont wanna be your girl, the menzingers - after the party, peach pit - drop the guillotine and i'm gonna stop now i hope there's some songs in there that you didn't know yet and like 😅

This Song Is about Being Used to something Or someone and with time distances install between you and that thing you are addicted to, And When he talked about the insecurities is because Without that Thing you don't feel Complete So he try to do something Else, Its Scary How addicted he gets to that specific person or thing. At the end He talks about being Paranoid, Because Doubts are Too much to Handle and Maybe he feels even if he fight and try to get away he Can't, And that thing paralyze him and don't let him go further. 💙 I love the concept, Many can relate its a truth in our society we all had at some point something (Coffe, A sport, alcohol ...in worst cases drugs) or someone (a lover a friend a parent) that became Toxic as muxh as we need them, And we realize that but you can't move on ~
